Oh no it doesn'tI love the idea of Avdija on this team. Great fit at 3.
Also means no Edey, for those who are happy about that.
The less favorable of the two and a couple seconds rounders, I think. What 2029 pick ?
Should trade Brogdon plus 7th pick for the number 2 pick
Very good rebounderThis seems to signal even before the draft. Appears that Cronin continues to attempt to retool instead of rebuild. I would say this means Simons will stay and most likely Grant also? Can Avdija rebound?
We still have 2 guaranteed 2029 firsts so we could easily trade away one more.So how's this work? Are we not allowed to trade any of our first round picks in 2029 now? Can we trade two of them so that the Wizards get nothing?![]()
Nah because part of that deal included Camara and Ayton.Outside of RW3 and pick swaps, isn't this basically everything we got for Dame?
Yup, better than reath and badju on a per 36 basis, more than twice the rate of one JGThis seems to signal even before the draft. Appears that Cronin continues to attempt to retool instead of rebuild. I would say this means Simons will stay and most likely Grant also? Can Avdija rebound?
Another 2029 FRP and Grayson Allen who was instrumental in getting Ayton.Outside of RW3 and pick swaps, isn't this basically everything we got for Dame?
Yeah I think they’re gonna give Simons one more year or the trade deadline.I like adding Avdija, I'm fine trading away Brogdon and #14.
Really don't like the idea of losing that 2029 first though.
Hoping we get something good for Grant.
This probably makes it less likely the Blazers trade Simons right? Especially if we pick a F/C at 7.
How many 2029 firsts do we need though? Or were you just hoping it would be available for a Bridges-type trade once the Blazers are decent again?I like adding Avdija, I'm fine trading away Brogdon and #14.

I’m hoping this signals that Grant and Ant will also be gone and Avdija, while only 23 has been in the league four seasons and can help rookies navigate. He fits the time line while still young. Him running with Scoot, Sharpe, Ayton and who we get at 7 will not create a straddle team I don’t think for this season. Could be wrong though.Initial reaction: ah... we're trading future value to try to get better now. Splitting the baby, as Cronin has done unsuccessfully since taking over.
With that being said, he is almost as young as Knecht, who I would be happy with at pick 14. He's on a pretty good looking contract. He had a good three point shooting year (after three lousy ones). He provides size.
And we don't know what we were going to get for Brogdon.
Overall: "meh". If we move Grant for future pieces, that will help me feel better about things, but I don't feel like it was a slam dunk given what we gave up for him, that he's not cheap (cheap for a vet? sure. But it's not "rookie scale cheap"). I like him as a player OK and he fits, but clawing back to mediocrity is not what I am interested in.
