If someone can get DA to compete on defense every night like he did early in his career, dunk the ball more times than he pulls up for a middy, then he can be an all star playing with the gravity of Luka.

I just don't think DA has it in him to do the smart things and to give consistent effort.

Media types who love the Lakers alternate between pumping the brakes because he got traded for a reason -- twice -- but is more than worth the $8 million AND playing with the stats to make a best case scenario. And singing the praises of Lebron and his influence. And Laker Nation. Until Lebron comes out and sees his shadow and pronounces they're ready, and the Lakers title run can begin, we'll all have to wait for that next brilliant Laker move ... like getting Bradley Beal once Phoenix buys him out.

Yeah, I found something saying he is a Knicks fan but he lives in LA now. Probably some bias. He also called a chiefs fans yahoos and thought the rest of the afc west would be way better (probably becoming a Chargers fan).

I don't take what these media guys say seriously. Skip Bayless says off the wall stuff all the time.
 
There was some other social media exchange posted here earlier this summer talking about how he needs to leave an influencer alone... not sure if it was also this one.

Second, according to said article, she went to the island with him and he kicked her out when she didn't want to have sex....... this seems perfectly reasonable to me. Unless they went on the vacation as friends :dunno:

I think some would be surprised how your mind state can change when you are on your contract year and also playing with TWO superstars! One trying DA can do is pick n roll/pop. Gonna have a field day I believe.

While much of the board complaining about Ayton today was in a tizzy about attaining him initially, I was only luke warm about getting him with the upside being I wanted Nurk gone. I'm now glad they bought DA out as he was not a great fit overall & they need to feed their new young Bigs some minutes. No doubt though when Ayton looked his best here was when he was pick and rolling with Deni for a brief period the 2nd half of the season while he was healthy and Deni had ascended to the team's alpha. I agree that his game should fit in well beside Luka and LBJ (if he's still a Laker).

Btw, fuck the Lakers

Yeah too bad he's never played with any superstar before, or two of them, or you know been to the finals....
