Remember when much of this board was in a tizzy pining to dump Nurk and upgrade with Ayton? While I wasn't excited about DA or his contract, that was still the right move. Nurk was such a slug

I'd have preferred Nurk. He's been solid in Utah. Although maybe he would have pouted here. Whatever, neither guy would have helped significantly and Clingan/Timelord are both much better.

By far the worst move the Blazers did of either was giving Nurk that 4 year contract. Almost as dumb as the Grant contract.

I don't think it was that bad of a move. His average annual salary in that 4-year contract was $17.5 million. I have never been a big Nurk fan, but when you don't have many options at center, I can see why they did it. And, as you mentioned, he has been solid in Utah.

Nurk is too mercurial*. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, we all have our moments of down/less up. But in as much as your average NBA player, it's not as beneficial to have them be moody or, to put it more bluntly, thin skinned.

As a person/dude? I'm sure Nurk is awesome. He just doesn't have the "dog" in him unless he feels slighted. But that "dog" can be a wolf, or a basset hound.

I kinda feel that Shaedon is a bit like this too. I wish he had Calebs confidence or hell, as much as I hate to say it, Kobe's killer drive *ON THE COURT*.
