Back spasms

Has anyone here dealt with lower back spasms?

I tweeeked my back a few weeks ago and It hurt for a few days and it got better - with a little pain lingering.

I went to the docs yesterday and he gave me some meds. However, he told me that back spasms can cause, with addition to discomfort, fevers, inability to fully take a deep breath, inflamation. And I have two of the three today.

I was born with an extra half of a vertebrae, which causes me to have scoliosis. Since it's only half of one, my disc pushes out a little, so yes back spasms and me are good friends. I have never gotten a fever from them, but they have defiantly wrecked my life for months at a time. If you have trouble sleeping try sleeping on the floor, and on your back or stomach. If you do sleep on your side, which is not good for it, curl your legs up and put a pillow inbetween your legs.

It looks like one good way to cure back spasms is to be traded to the Knicks.
