Baffled and Confounded by the "Hickson Situation"

The point is that we have 2 adequate starting PFs. Instead of losing or benching one next year, we should trade one this summer to improve at other positions. Because Hickson's a FA, Aldridge is the only one of the two we could trade, not to mention the one we could get a top star for.

One All-Star PF, and another who would be a great bench player, elite, even.

It's worth it to get the best center in the game, or one of the top-3 forwards or guards...Aldridge will get you that in a trade. You'll get a big up at one or two positions for a down at his.

And we will no longer have the difficult coaching task of going far in the playoffs with the leading scorer being the PF, who should be concentrating on rebounds like Hickson does.

I would understand if Aldridge was traded for a elite center; but do you really think a team with one would be willing to give him up?

It would be even better to find a 3-way trade that sent LMA/Hickson/Batum to Miami/OKC for LeBron/Durant, and play Lebron at PF.

Make it happen, Olshey!!! :MARIS61:

Every year some team decides it can't afford its star anymore. One year ago at the trade deadline, everyone expected the Magic to trade Dwight Howard, who wanted out.
