With Chicago on top in the east. People starting to recognize?

DAMNIT! any other person says that....

we're f'ed now. there's only one jinx stronger than kingspeeds...

So we're not a jump shooting team anymore?

It's funny. Usually I think Barkley's an idiot--and I don't agree with his overall conclusion--but he's the only one on the panel who seemed to notice that LA has developed a pretty mean low post game. His drop step is something he didn't have last year.

Don't worry guys...we are the best. And we'll prove it in the upcoming months

Ya I was surprised Shaq didn't agree with him about that..it's pretty obvious and Shaq's usually pretty objective when it comes to the Blazers

Did they mention that we just got josh smith? Smh

I hate that fanbase so much it actually makes my stomach turn.

I can't wait for that experiment to blow the fuck up in their face. Anyone that thinks it will work will be sadly mistaken.

Just watched the whole segment now, Barkely's analysis was very sound. It was pretty much whole studio versus him in there trying to defend us. He definitely is aware that LMA has a great post-game unlike the others in there. Props to Barkely for paying attention and not just going with whats popular!

I hope someone shows LMA that segment, where Shaq and Kenny say he's only just a jump shooter! Then we can see LaMonster mode again!

Frankly, I hope the national media just ignores us. I love walking softly and carrying a clutch Damian.

Most of his shots are jumpers. 35% of his shots are in the paint, 65% outside. He's only making 53% of his shots in the paint and 40% of his shots from mid range.

A comparable player is Chris Bosh, who only takes 30% of his shots in the paint, but he takes 23% of his shots from 3pt range (as opposed to LA's 5) . And he hits 49% of his mid range shots.

Cool. But what's important is we know that LMA is very capable inside, which we will go to more in the playoffs.

And yet he's got the highest FG% for any player in the NBA when games are decided by 5 points or less, beastly on the boards and our true defensive anchor.

Your numbers work when you are trying to explain why a teams losing. I'm sure many teams would love to have an Aldridge on their squad having the Blazer's record in the toughest conference.

The Blazers win a lot of games right now, so it's hard to see, but the strongest correlation between a LaMarcus stat and the Blazers winning has nothing to do with his shooting. I'll get to that stat in a second. But sufficed to say, whether LA shoots poorly, well, many threes, few threes, many free throws, few free throws... the spread of wins and losses are roughly the same.

But when he gets 9 or more defensive rebounds, we win. A lot. 11-1 when he gets 9 or more. 9-0 if he gets 10 or more.

We are most successful when LA rebounds on the defensive end. This has nothing to do with his offensive output. THAT is what we should encourage from LA more than anything; we can accept everything else about him being what it is, as long as he digs out rebounds.

I agree. I think I even mentioned in the Houston game thread that we were missing his defensive rebounding. The Rockets were killing us with second chance points.

Speaking of rebounding... Anyone know what date RoLo is anticipated back? Already feels like we've been without him for awhile

Clutchfans are seriously butthurt over this.

2 people is clutchfans?

The 3rd guy "J.R" is just some insane reporter guy who embeds every tweet and gets every quote on demand, we wonder if he's even human. You guys worried about Rockets fans as much as you worry about your own team.

I liked our chances this season. Was even savings for plane tickets and nose bleeds for the finals. But now with the Barkley jinx I guess ill pay off my car. Better luck next year guys. Seasons over.
