Didn't mean to upset you. I was just stating that I have no idea about anything when it comes to baseball. I will be completely lost on the S2 baseball forum.Seriously, Are you always thick?! How about including the original message I was replying to or are you always looking for members you can hang up on in some sort of ritual vendetta. But don't worry, I'll just ban you myself so you don't have to deal with unhip losers. Go find someone else to brigade.
Not sure on the super fund site? I thought that NWNG site was closed for any construction for a number of years but i honestly don't know for sure. I do know the Reynolds Aluminum site in Troutdale did finally clear.Fuck Vancouver. Are they going to put up any tax dollars for infrastructure improvements that are required for a stadium? Nope. So fuck them.
The SoWhat District was a super fund site. They came in a took away all the soil.
Also i guess you just told me to Fuck Off because i just bought a house in Vancouver last year... Ha Ha Ha!
I do have one in Eugene also if that makes me okay? Just thought i'd ask?Nah.
Interesting response. Beings they come up in every town hall and open public forum we have ever had. Not only that but i already covered this in the original post with the fact that they are going to build a bridge. Yes i know the CRC failed but they will build a bridge and that would make them do it faster. Then i covered your transit hub as the Yellow line already goes there. Then i guess you have not been following the news because now there is talk of a I 605 Freeway that does a big loop from I5 north to I5 south on the other side of 217. So stay tuned because this stuff ain't fantasy.Do you even follow Stadium plans or this city at all? There is zero chance a MLB stadium is going anywhere near delta park/per/expo center. That is the worst traffic in the entire metro area, is not near a major transit hub or is a destination. These new stadiums are built near down towns or in them. Foot traffic and mass transit a must. This will be built at the rose quarter or somewhere close by if it progresses.
And by the way???? When exactly was the last time you were walking around the Rose Quarter Area just because? If you are there you probably went to a Blazer game or function and you drove there or took the max. Please tell me you live around there? Because if you do you are part of probably 1% of the members of this forum.Do you even follow Stadium plans or this city at all? The yellow line is not a hub. The rose quarter is where every literal line on max, plus plenty of busses, meet. The city’s plan is to cap I5 and bring that neighborhood back together. Building a baseball stadium next to the Moda would spur the development that Vulcan has failed to deliver on. Baseball being played for 2 week straight home stands would bring new places to eat and socialize pre and post game. That is not going to happen out by delta where it is very difficult for the majority of the metro area to reach. And by the way???? The majority of players will always be Caucasian and Hispanic which I think is about a 58/35 split or something like that. I've heard about a new RBI Baseball Academy started a few years ago but I don't know how effective it is. I am more concerned about the effort being done at the coaching level. Dave Roberts and Dusty Baker are the only black managers in the league right now. That is pretty fucking sad. My guess is Ron Washington will probably be offered another job this off-season, most likely the Braves. He just had that flameout in Texas. Guy is one of the best bench coaches in the game.
Dviss said 6% of MLB players are black. Two out of thirty coaches is 6.6%. I think your concern is ridiculous.
I would be really suprised if Baker lasts through the rest of the month. He's most likely gone.
Might as well be saying "Fuck you." soooo fuck you too!Fuck Vancouver. Are they going to put up any tax dollars for infrastructure improvements that are required for a stadium? Nope. So fuck them.
I actually agree with the premise of putting it in town but there simply isn't room. You can tear down the Memorial Coliseum to try and make room i guess? And if you do you must figure out a way to park. People drive in this town. plain and simple. The yellow line is not a hub. The crc and 605 bridges are mere fantasy compared to this proposal at this point. To even bank on them is grasping. The crc would not solve the bottleneck at the rose quarter on I5. The recent legislation passed to widen I5 in that area is being met with fierce opposition by the bike community. Keeping a new stadium for MLB near a transit hub is a must. Not just a single stop on a single line.
Buy out the land presently used by a golf course, and there's plenty of room. How about the Rose City golf course at 72nd and Tillamook, or Glendoveer on Glisan west of 148th, or the Eastmoreland area down by McLoughlin and Bybee (although Crystal Springs Lake would be an issue there...)?I actually agree with the premise of putting it in town but there simply isn't room. Portland Razers
Hate baseball, but would love the ton of extra work and not have to travel in my offseason. Would also love to take the kids. Hope this works out. I know MB is very pumped about this whole thing.
No it doesn't.

Dviss said 6% of MLB players are black. Two out of thirty coaches is 6.6%. I think your concern is unwarranted.
Also, I created the Oregon Trees in my 1998 Front Page Sports Baseball simulator back when I was a teenager. In recent years in OOTPB I have changed the name to the Portland Trees. I like that better.
Stop making me laugh so hard, so early in the morning.

It's all about the delivery baby!
Yeah, the extra "no" is what makes mine funny and the lack of an extra "no" just makes your pedantic.

I think that my post was emphatic. It slammed the door on BGD.
Then again, it's possible that Dviss has you on ignore![]()
