But pretty flattering to the Blazers:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=7896

4th in the league in chances to be champs behind Miami, Orlando and the Lakers
3rd in the league in chances to make the finals, behind Miami and the Lakers
100% chance of making the playoffs
56.5 projected wins

surprise surprise... stats and potential....

2 words on every blazer fans handbook

watch with your own eyes.... its more honest

Did the Thunder win more regular season games last year than the Blazers in your eyes?

Ed O.

Actually, the 2 words in my fan handbook are "pass" and "thedamnball"

I did, I saw a team that lost 313 player-games last year win the same number of games as a team that lost very little player-games, and won the season series with that same team.

Did you see something else, oh wise sage?

If he looks at the Thunder cross-eyed, does that mean they won 100 games?

you spelled (check your reputation) wrong.

thunder starting 5 over ours

hell you can make a case westbrook is better then roy

and they both finished with same record. blazers had injuries yes but thunder have tons of upside left.

roy has peaked... la isnt gonna be much more and oden cant stay healthy. batum is the only real upside left. thunder has westbrook, durant, ibaka, harden, green all getting better still. thats scary since they won 50.

11.4% finals winning for the Lakers, 10.2 for Portland.

That pretty much sums up how serious we should take their work. (good link though).

Hehe, another case of us losing the conference finals to the Lakers!

I've seen that movie before...hopefully the plot gets improved. ;)

Mixum avoiding making the case Westbrook > Roy. Can't say I'm surprised.

Keep running away and hiding from it.

Unless he is injured - I am not buying this. Dominant small-guards usually reach their peak right before they turn 30.

and oden cant stay healthy.

Maybe, maybe not, but if he can - his upside alone is bigger than all of the Thunder upside combined...

batum is the only real upside left.

Really? LMA has finished progressing at 25? (Again, peak for power-forwards usually happens around the time they are 30), Wes is a 2nd year player, Dante is a 2nd year player, we have tons of rooks. The Blazers have tons of upside left, just like the Thunder (actually more, if Oden can stay healthy).

Love what the Thunder do, but love the Blazers more.

Good team in the making. No doubt about it, but the Blazers can not have a year as bad as they had last year, injury wise. For this upcoming year, imho, the Blazer's upside is bigger than the Thunder's even if the Thunder remain magical on the no-injury front.

I actually think this makes a lot of send if health is the same for both teams, there is a reason the Blazers are probably the only team that can match with the Lakers - both teams have a dominant SG, experienced PG and lots of size. The Lakers have experience and knowledge on their side, the Blazers have youth and hunger. I'm OK with that.

That's why the play the games, right? There are no guarantees in life, on either side - but this ranking makes an awful lot more sense than the "oh no, the sky is falling" approach, because it actually uses some science behind it...

what are you talking about man!? Roy has peaked, didn't you get the memo?

We're done! Dee You Enn, done!

What kind of poster makes a big claim and then doesn't bother backing it up when called out?

Someone that's scared.

Someone that's scared.

Not someone who is scared, but someone who is trolling.

um i just did.... thunder have 2 studs

blazers have 1 who i think has peaked.

supporting cast is equal.

2 studs over 1

not ot emntion 1 stud is a top 3 player likely on his way to a mvp/scoring title

How many times are you wrong, yet you still post the same shit every year.

Where is your case with facts and statistics that Westbrook is better than Roy?

I want to see it. You said it and got called out. Stop running away from it, scaredy pants.

HEY DENNY CRANE, NO JOKE, DIDN'T WE HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS Deleted.

FWIW, eyewitness accounts are usually considered some of the most unreliable testimony in a trial ... FWIW
