Batum leads the entire league in rebounding in the month of March

Batum is more aggressive without LA on the court and that is a fact. Now we need to figure out how to sustain this effort with LA on the court.

No, that's an opinion.

I repeatedly see this cmeese guy use the word fact incorrectly

Batum is clearly lazy since he leads the league in distance travelled on court this year.

Only a lazy ass slack would be 8 miles ahead of slack ass second place Damian lillard. Also interesting note is his average speed at 4.4mph which leads the top ten in distance travelled folks (3 of which are blazers who are clearly lazy)

Yes, he's basically lucked his way into being an NBA player, in spite of his laziness. :MARIS61:

How is that at all what I said?

I think he has the raw talent to be one of the best in the league, but he doesn't have the same drive as a Kevin Durant or even a Damian Lillard. He has never seemed to be one of those guys that is truly driven to be one of the best. That was my point.

You do realize that:

"Natebishop perceiving inconsistent play" does not equal "lack of drive"

right?

Fact- Something known to exist or to have happened, all it takes is one night for Batum to be more aggressive without LA on the court. That has occurred therefore it is a fact and not an opinion.

What a retarded way to word your reasoning

Your post sucks

Here's a question for the stat folks out there. Has Nico won the title for 9s in the stat lines this season? He had a triple 9 once I think and consistantly has 9 something, rebounds or assists. Should be a #9 club, the guys who didn't care about getting the double digit but were as close as you could get to it. Ever since I thought about this I've had my least favorite Beatles song in my head..you know the one

I will agree Batum does not have the same "I am the best and the king and all shall bow down before me or I will eat your heart while it beats in your chest" attitude, like Russell Westbrook or Kome Bryant. It would be nice to have one of those on the team, but only if he had the talent to back it up. Lillard might be the closest we get to that. Batum isn't. Oh well. Some people need to get over it. (Nate already has.) Batum is a damn fine player in his own right and his "team first" "glue" mentality is equally important on a contender as having an ego maniac team leader. And we're lucky to have him.

What?

How did I perceive inconsistent play? I said that there are those that still believe he is inconsistent, and that leading the league in rebounding for a month doesn't necessarily prove them wrong.

Nic has played through a broken finger & nasal contusion - played in all 68/68 games. Doesn't really fit the narrative of a guy that's lazy or doesn't care. He'll guard whoever you ask & not complain about it. He's pretty much the definition of a glue guy. I guess people are angry he's not a superstar. What part of Nic's game looks dominant? Good shooter, but not S. Curry good. Not a guy you can iso b/c 1) Okay ball handler, but not great in traffic. 2) Doesn't really have A level first step, jab stepback, or any other move to get his own shot. 3) Will throw down impressive dunks, but gets stripped a lot going to basket & doesn't have great body control to absorb contact & finish. 4) Average strength and leaping ability. When he posts up, his only move is turnaround J.

He does a lot of things pretty well but not at an elite level. He's a nice 3/4 option, which every good team needs. His versatility is what makes him so valuable.

But those are exactly the reasons we should hate him. Just not an all star at every facet of the game. Sucks for him.

(Tried to rep/couldn't.)

He racked up most of those miles running from Dirk Nowitski--He's bred to run from Germans.

It would seem that Lopez must have a lot to do with this. He comes in and Aldridge's rebounding numbers increase and now Nic in there with him is going wild.

Gonna say I'm really impressed with batums game! He has been balling lately!

He hunts em down. He's just a statmonger and you guys are all buying into it.
