Better to hunt 'em down, than to let them fall in your lap!He hunts em down. He's just a statmonger and you guys are all buying into it.

Well I feel dumb.
With several fewer communicable diseases.well shit, batum is rodman incarnate
Everybody does if they spend more than 5 minutes here.
I hope you guys brace yourselves for the fact that Batum is picking up the slack for the loss of Aldridge, and when Aldridge comes back Batum will rebound less and score less. And it's not because he's lazy or unmotivated or inconsistent. It's because there is only one ball and a finite number of shots and rebounds in a game, and Batum is a (very good) role player.

Insinuate? I don't think I could have been more clear. How dare you insinuate trading aldridge!![]()

OK. I don't have any more insight into what goes on in the mine of someone I've never actually met, but I presumed he was focusing on rebounding as a result of the scheme and the coach telling him to do it. Whatever the reason, I'll take it!The rebound barrage didn't start until LA's first game back from groin injury. I don't feel it has anything to with LA being out. This is just Batum 'deciding' it's time to rebound. Take a look.

Nope. Last I checked, before David Stern bastardized the game, it was a team sport.Sometimes that's just the way the ball bounces and having Rolo between you and the bad guy gives LA and Nico a lot more space to go get em' Does it matter which Blazer gets the rebound?
Why, actually, yes! It does! When LMA gets the rebound you can erase 4+ seconds from the shot clock, as he waits for the entire back-court to clear out before handing the ball off to a guard. Meanwhile, the defense has gotten back into position and is waiting for us to cross the half-court line, which typically happens with about 18 seconds left of the shot clock.Does it matter which Blazer gets the rebound?

Meanwhile, we've got this other PF named Thomas Robinson who will look for the outlet pass, and if it's not available will begin moving the ball up-court himself, putting pressure on the transition defense which will occasionally lead to easy fast break points.
Not all rebounds are created equal.

It would seem that Lopez must have a lot to do with this. He comes in and Aldridge's rebounding numbers increase and now Nic in there with him is going wild.
It just proves rebounding is all about effort and being a bit of a stat compiler (having the effort to go after every single rebound, even when it isn't contested and your teammate could easily get it).
Aldridge was doing the same thing earlier in the season when he was averaging 12 rebounds in December and 13 rebounds in January. In Feb/Mar he's back down to his <10reb per game average.
