It was obvious to me that it was just a bruise from landing on it awkwardly.

Err, there was some weird twisting going on, but that's probably because Nicolas runs faster around a corner than his joints can handle lol. Ah, to be long, lanky, and super athletic.
Thanks Dr. MickZagger
Though, I actually doubt that explanation. I feel like world-class athletes rarely fall to the ground for no reason. Any able to confirm whether or not CJ Miles nudged him on the turn? I feel like that's the most likely explanation. I feel like some of these crappier teams, that's how they win. Like in Golden State when Wallace got undercut (Opps, yeah right), or when Chris Kaman poked Nicolas in the eye, it's like you don't have enough hand-eye coordination to not wave your hands frantically into someones face, really??
Sure, accidents, but accidents seem to be inversely proportional to discipline and skill imo. Remember when Ron Artest in his prime could defend players with his hands behind his back? Or how Shane Battier would always put his hand right in the dudes face (but rarely commit a foul). Etc etc.
Anyways, good well soon Batman.
No foul, Miles never touched him.
Left leg amputation to take place Thursday. Blazers confident that Batum on one leg will still contribute more than Oden on his two gimpy legs.
At the 43-44 second transition, does putting a small amount of force into a full-speed Nicolas into the "right" direction while not squared up not count as "touching" then? It's close, but it's not as simple as you say. When someone is running that fast, a little force can change everything.
It looked to me like he slipped on a wet spot on the floor, then kicked his heel, essentially tripping himself. I was worried about the twisting of the knee, but a contusion from hitting the floor is what we could see. I'm still a little gun shy about the Blazers medical team and knees.Yeah I didn't see a foul
I hope that's all it is, but his reaction at the time suggested a lot more pain than a simple bone contusion. Maybe he just has a low pain threshold, despite playing through a long stretch with the bad shoulder.

Yes, and I've witnessed plenty of them in person. I know they hurt, but usually not in that manner initially. Even Batum's comments after the game indicated that he thought it was something much more serious.Have you ever had a bone bruise? I'm guessing not.
