The Erie BayHawks exacted revenge on the visiting Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday afternoon at the Erie Insurance Arena. Following three straight home defeats at the hands of the Mad Ants, Erie came out swinging and downed Fort Wayne, 111-78.

The BayHawks (13-10) led virtually the entire first quarter and finished the frame ahead by two. The Mad Ants (12-14) quickly took a one point advantage in the second stanza before Erie regained the lead and never looked back. The BayHawks took a 54-40 advantage into the break, thanks in large part to Demonte Harper's nine second quarter points off the Erie bench and Erik Daniels' 18 first half points.

The BayHawks extended their lead to 22 by the end of the third frame. In the fourth quarter, Erie's Cory Higgins finished off his 19 point second-half effort with nine points. The BayHawks eventually finished off the Mad Ants by a final score of 111-78. Fort Wayne's 78 points tied a season-low for points surrendered by the BayHawks and the 33 point victory is Erie's largest margin of victory this year.

Higgins led Erie in scoring with 27 points and five rebounds. Daniels poured in a season-high 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. D.J. Kennedy came up one assist shy of a triple-double, totaling 21 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Henry Sims also posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Harper finished with 13 points.

Fort Wayne was paced by Luke Harangody, who tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds. Anthony Harris also finished with 11 points for the Mad Ants.

The BayHawks return to action tomorrow night as they welcome the Tulsa 66ers to Erie Insurance Arena. Fort Wayne will return home to face the Maine Red Claws Thursday evening.
