Just wondering if he or the team has the patients to wait 2 years for him to develop and Millers contract to expire. Right now I am watching last seasons game at New Jersey. We were down 10 or so and he absolutely took over!!! This kid as skills. I love his game and i hope he takes advantage of practicing against Blake and Dre everyday and tries to soak up as much hoop I.Q. as he can.

A Ben Gordon/Vinnie Johnson role.

The game in New Jersey he played off the ball a lot and when he did have the ball he looked for his own shot. He's a scorer plain and simple.

I'm worried that he's going to get impatient this season. I don't see where or how he's going to crack the rotation.

Well the team has addressed the point guard problem short term but not long term. Im assuming Jerryd still has a shot. Based on where he has been and what he has done, I think I would quit worrying about becoming a point guard if I was him and work on the rest of his game. If he does that. He will work for the team long term IMO. Mainly because I do agree with the rest of you. He could be a heck of a combo guard. With Roy, that might be all we need.

He's got a shot at the rotation in a couple of years, but I don't think his NBA destiny includes the Blazers much past this season ... maybe I'm dead wrong and he'll get mentored like mad by Miller and will do the "young grasshopper" thing and do nothing but practice, practice, practice, but I wouldn't bet a dollar on that.

I can just see him being very successful in this league!!! Hopefully with us!

I could see him involved in a consolidation trade.

As far as this teams future PG I have my doubts it's Bayless.

Koponen has a shot. But I still hope KP makes a play for Conley.

What makes you think that?

Edited: Nevermind. YOu hope not think. Sorry.

I'd be amazed if he was here next year.

This is probably the worst team in the league for him to earn time, at EITHER guard spot.

I like Jerryd and I think he could be a big contributor for us. Every team needs a guy that is as driven as he is.

Seeing Anthony Randolph develop into a unique 6'11" SF/PF makes me cringe.

No way he's here past next year at the most barring injuries or other unforeseen circumstances.
