I got the Blazers in our channel's 2021 Mock Offseason so I'm not gonna leak my plans.

Okay, I don’t wanna trade Dame but if we go full rebuild I like this, I’m assuming a 1st goes to Indy and New Orleans in both trades. Depth will be lacking but how fun would that team be.

That’s eventually 4 all-stars in the starting lineup and a pretty nice 9 man rotation.

If I was choosing a new head coach for our team, I would choose Johnnie Bryant. The funny thing is that my second choice isn't even seemingly on the team's radar in Ime Udoka. Both of these guys have coaching experience under really good head coaches (Bryant under Snyder and Udoka under Pop) the thing is while Udoka's team is still playing, he's one of several all star assistants but Bryant was Thibbs's associate head coach this season during their huge turnaround. So that's a big deal.

That being said, out of the candidates considering... what a shit show, I guess Chauncey but you better believe him that what happened in 1997 was consensual because if not the kind of monster that Chauncey was according to the allegations is far far worse than anything Jason Kidd has been involved in. So I'd hire Johnnie Bryant.

I think given tonight's loss and what I see as a series loss upcoming, the Bucks are going to be looking to make some changes. So I think we should be able to get Khris Middleton from them for a package that includes CJ. I actually think that CJ and a future first would get the job done. Middleton is good and he's obviously more well rounded than CJ but I don't think he's as potent of a scorer as CJ is. So trade CJ for Middleton during the draft.

I expect that DJ is going to opt in and obviously Norm is going to opt out. So the next priority would be to re-sign Norman Powell and I would make that happen (in this dreamworld where I'm the Blazers GM). I would sign Elfrid Payton with the MLE. I'd sign Bismack Biyombo with the BAE. I'd let Zach shop himself and I think he'd end up taking the QO or a three year 18M contract fully guaranteed. I'd get extensions done with RoCo and Nurk.

That would give us Dame, Norm, Middleton, RoCo, Nurk, Ant, Nas, Payton, DJ, Zach and Biyombo. We'd have Elleby and I'd bring back RHJ and sign one of a couple of G Leguers that I invite to camp.

I would love to have Sabonis... but Indy wouldn't trade him for Nurk for the same reasons you want him. He's better than Nurk.

Yeah this is fantasy stuff, maybe the 2 1s go with Nurk/RoCo/Simons and the Pelicans deal has no picks in it.

I mean, in previous season, under Stotts (and I am almost sure here) neither Sabas nor Siakam would be better here than Nurk was.

Trade CJ and a pick for Middleton.
Sign the best PF/SF with the MLE such as Otto Porter Jr.
DJJ opts in.
Resign Kanter for 4 million for one year.
Zach takes the qualifying offer. Ideally if he gets healthy he beats out Kanter for minutes.
Let Melo walk.
Sign Austin Rivers with the BAE or whoever the best backup PG is.
Resign RHJ.

Thats not how the salary cap works. The Blazers don't have cap space, even if they let Powell walk. Unless you mean DeRozen would sign for the MLE.

yeah, people forget about cap-holds:





if Powell opts-out (almost certain), you need to slide his cap-hold to this summer

those cap-holds are charged to a team's cap unless the team renounces all right to the free agent
