And so April 15 arrived on Wednesday, marking the end of the Trail Blazers' regular season. It has always been somewhat of a red-letter date for me, something I aimed for as I sat in an airport during the dog days of January, waiting to get from Newark to Charlotte.

I often wondered during those layovers, or boring hotel nights what this day would bring. Never did my mind wander to the heights of what transpired Wednesday in an absolutely rocking and reveling Rose Garden.

The Blazers annihilated Denver 104-76 for their sixth consecutive win, a share of the Northwest Division title, and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs - which start Saturday night against Houston in the Rose Garden.

All told, they finished with 54 wins, the sixth most in franchise history.

But what's going on here is so much more than numbers. As anyone who has been at the Rose Garden lately, or who has been following this team closely can attest, there is a certain feel about these Blazers. They are rolling and playing perhaps the best basketball in the league.

that bit about Rudy was HILARIOUS!

"You Know?"

"No I dont know"

"Me Neither"

Batum receiving intravenous fluids? Dang!

Frye's fiancee, and his other two girl friends wearing <insert Frye> T-shirts? hmm...

That was a great read--really enjoyed it.

It's hard to believe Outlaw is the same guy we drafted five years ago. His one move was to jump straight up and block shots. If he wasn't doing that, he was completely useless. And now look at him.

That's an encouraging story about Frye and his pre-game ritual. When you get pigeonholed as "the tall guy who shoots 20 footers for 7 minutes a night", it gets stale. Last night was a side of Frye I haven't seen all season. It was almost like having another Aldridge out there. Man, if he can bring that regularly in the playoffs, Houston is going to have problems with him.

I think Oden should get in on the 1 on 1's so he can work on his dribbling and control

Are you pissed at Quick for not including you in that one article or is there something more to it?

Quick's starting to get some play from Rebecca.

i feel bad for jerryd but at the same time i hope he works hard on his game this summer.

That was a great article. He redeemed himself after the bathroom one.
