I imagine I will remember April 5, 2009 for many years. I won't remember it much for the Trail Blazers game - it was another Houston runaway at the Toyota Center - even though it was the first meeting between Yao Ming and Greg Oden.

No, I will remember this night for what happened behind the Blazers locker room door. It was the night Nate McMillan nearly knocked me on my keister. The night Steve Blake nearly combusted in front of his locker. And the night Brandon Roy chose to sit on a counter top to give his postgame address to a crowd of media.

These are getting old. He seems to be putting himself as the focal point in these articles.

It's his blog and his own take of things. Just the same as MB's blog and when he goes off on stories on the road with the players.
I think we're fortunate to have the coverage that we've got on this team.

I see what you are saying, but it has to be hard for Quick to stay detached and 'out of frame' when he's been covering the team for so long. At the very least I enjoy these peaks through the blinds (so to speak); they definitely add something that I think we're very lucky to have as fans of a particular team.

I've been a pretty big critic of Quick in the past, but I think this series is extremely entertaining. I don't mind him writing himself into the story.

It is cool that we are getting the "inside" scoop, don't get me wrong. He just needs to leave himself out of the stories.

I enjoy it too. No harm done as long as it is true to life.

Why? As long as it is true and it is properly presented as his take on things - no harm done.

Good stuff. I like the pissed off Steve Blake.

HAHA! I told you guys that I was going to be negative about anything he does from now on. Nice catch Max! I told you he apologized right?

Agreed.

Heh, bottom line? I'm jealous. I'd love to pound one or three with Barrett. He seems like one of those really down-to-earth kinda guys that would be great to shoot a round of golf with, then go down a couple shooters together.

I thought this was interesting.

But McMillan insisted that Webster join the Blazers for their final two trips as he nears a potential return for the playoffs. McMillan wants him to be at every practice, every meeting, every film session because the coaching staff is making so many adjustments to the playbook - both additions and subtractions - as the postseason nears.

I'm glad they are adding different plays.

"I know Portland is probably going crazy tonight,'' Roy said with a touch of pride.

Actually, many "fans" on sites such as this one decided to berate the team on the night they finally got the Blazers back into the playoffs.

If one of Roy's cronies reads this board, tell #7 to not even bother checking this out.

Is the HCP v. Quick drama becoming the soap opera for the media who follows the team?

ok I know I'm still kinda new... can someone catch me up on HCP vs Quick? whats the story?

I like them. I think it gives great insight into the locker room. Maybe it's because it brings back some memories, and I can relate to what he's saying, but I think it's a great look behind the scenes for fans.

It's a recent development. HCP is pissed because Quick left him out of some article or something.

And Quick is mad at me cause I tapped his wife and sister at the same time!

Ahh.. OK thanks, I thought this was some long entrenched rivalry or something. Thanks

I like the part with Roy intimating that he's found a weakness in Houston's game.
