i know. i didn't mean that about you specifically even though i quoted your post. the quote was more because you were saying that the refs weren't going to allow the blazers to win a game 6 in houston.

I think it's very hard to win a elimination game, 6 or 7 on the road because the refs tend to call more on the side of the home team regardless which teams are playing.

The refs were fine IMO except for the changing of how Greg could defend Yao from game two and three to this one.

That's bullshit. Because of the officials we had both our big men on the bench for an 8 minute stretch of the first half, during which there was an 18 point swing. If you don't think that decided the game, you're ridiculous.
what are you talking about? there was a five and a half minute stretch in the first half where oden and joel both were sitting because they each had two fouls. during that time the rockets outscored the blazers 15-9(and really since 2 of the rockets points were from yao free throws on oden's 2nd foul, the rockets only outscored the blazers 13-9 with both centers out of the game at that time).

but to you that is what decided the game? the game was decided when it went from a 17-15 rockets lead to a 32-24 rockets lead and there were 9 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter?

the calls favored the rockets early. they favored the blazers in the 3rd. in neither case did it decide the game.

I still believe.

I have a strong feeling we'll crush Houston on Tuesday. And if we steal Game 6 in Houston, we'll win this series. It ain't over yet boys.

Yeah, 3-1 sounds dismal but all it takes is a win on Tuesday at home in front of our crowd and to SOMEHOW earn our breaks down the stretch in Game 6. Then anything can happen in Game 7 at home.
I've counted out this team several times in games throughout the season, but I believe we have one last push in us. I don't think we'll fold up our tent in Game 5.

These last two games have come down to simply 3-4 possessions per game. We just need to find a way to be on the right side of those possessions.

If we look at it as having to win three games in a row, we're done. Just one game at a time baby! Home win first, then get revenge for these last two heartbreakers.

And it's on in Game 7!

you even said so yourself you haven't watched the whole series, so...apparently you aren't seeing the ron artest jersey grabbing

Neither have you seen the Oden/Pryzbilla (spelling) hooking their hands around Yao's waist as they try and front him. I have, the other guy might not have watched the whole series - but I've been to both the Houston home games and had pretty good seats. Maybe you remember posters on TV's, mine read "CLUTCH CITY IS BACK"

...and enough with the Blazers are better than the Rockets, because so far they SURE have NOT proven it. And in order to, they will have to win the next 3 games, which I don't think is going to happen. As far as the better team right now, its definitely the Rockets, they've got 3 wins - to Blazers' 1.

we know you are bi-polar eric, but please think before you post sometimes, it is very irritating the flip-flopping you take on so many situations

But often both is true. On one hand, Oden has been a disappointment (especially tonight), but on the other hand there are reasons to have hope he'll do better. I look for the positive but I see, and won't ignore, the negative. Both are there.

yea cause the regular season is the same as the postseason. the way the games are called and us allowing them to dictate the tempo says we won't blow them out. want to put a sig line bet on it? blowout equals us winning by 15 or more.

i believe your term is learn the game then post.

what's the bet? What sig line?

What if we lead by 25 going into the 4th quarter but with Bayless and Ruffin in, we end up only winning by 14 after a Kyle Lowry three at the buzzer? Do I lose?

games earlier in the season in which tmac played really are irrelevant to this rockets team.

but the rockets definitely can be blown out. just look at the last game of the regular season. it was the most important game of the year up to that point and the rockets had a 14 point lead midway through the 3rd quarter only to get outscored by 25 the rest of the way and lose by 11.

Theres only a few NBA teams that have come back from a 3-1 deficit.

Don't forget our own collapse.

As much as I want us to win game 6, i think the odds are against us since we really blew the 4th quarter in game number #4. WE WILL LOSE GAME 6. Quote me on this. I am sticking to this 100%
Way to go out on a limb.

As long as we don't have to lose the series in Portland on Tuesday I'll be happy... I think Ill be able to get over it otherwise, but getting axed at home will be awfully tough to swallow!

I agree, as I see it we now have to play each remaining game as if it were game 7.

what's the bet? What sig line?

bet is "i am owned by __________, he knows more about basketball than i ever will" through the end of the finals.

and if we are up by 25+ going into the fourth than i'll give it to you.

It's good to know who on our team are the guys who step up in big situations. Those are Brandon, Rudy, Greg (if the refs would ever let him play) and LaMarcus.

0 pts. 5 fouls, 3 Rebounds - 11 Minutes -

Now that's what I call stepping it up in a big situation.

You homers kill me!

I really think we win games 5 and, if we get there 7.

However, game 6 will be really tough.

The Blazers will win this series. I know this to be true because I don't know how I will afford to pay for the second round tickets, and if there are two possibilities, and one of those possibilities ends up costing me more money than I have, then that possibility becomes an inevitability.

Thanks for taking one for the team!

I actually think of all the teams in recent memory down 3-1.. this team has the best chance to pull it out.. cause unlike most teams they are healthy AND have 2 of the possible 3 games at home.

We need a game 5 blow out.

I mean a nasty, this is personal, dis you to your face routing. I'm talking about a 30 point lead with 5 minutes left in the 4th and all the starters in statement. We need to send the message that we are taking this damn series to 7.

Agreed. We've got to change the tone of the series.

we can win, but we need game 5..this one will not be handed to us..IF and IF we can force a game 6, maybe some confidence can creep back into our heads..essentially, we need to put doubt in houston's mind. I'd LOVE another shot at getting a win in Houston

I almost prefer a closer game.. that way Yao just doesnt sit and rest all 2nd half.. Rockets stay within 10 and then Blazers hit some threes and win by 18 :D

yao is fine. he's not going to get worn out in these games. there is at least a day of rest after every game and yao can play 40+ minutew any game that it is needed without it effecting him negatively.
