I wonder if Portland's rise has any impact on San Antonio's desire for the top spot? I can't imagine Portland would be their first choice for a first round matchup. I guess they still try for the #1 spot in case the get to the WCF.

Here is what happened:

A new member says that they're female.

MM decides to tell them a joke about a woman being sexually violated by her doctor. MM knows this is probably pushing the edge a little so he says if this is inappropriate let him know.

2 people flag the post.

I see the flags, then read the post and the posts it was in reply to.

I can see why it was it was flagged so I edit the post and did as MM asked by letting him know that it was inappropriate.

Not a big deal. MM isn't in danger of being banned.

I think Popovich plays games with everything, but I think he doesn't want to play 4 road games against Golden State more than he doesn't want to play us.
 
We can dream but... 12 games left and we are outside of Denver. As soon as we actually clam the 8th seed then it all becomes real. Remember..... Clinton was supposed to win and we woke up to a Trumpo life.

The 'language/courtesy' standards on here fell off the shelf a while ago. Some people seem unable to post without multiple f-bombs and sh_t references. I know people who won't let their kids come on here anymore who are big Blazer fans because the language and etiquette has deteriorated so greatly. And God forbid someone disagree with an opinion or take. It gets personal in a real hurry from some people who claim to be very tolerant. :breakdance:
 
If Durant is still out/completely out of shape, we would maybe have a chance. If he's back and playing well then realistically we would never be able to defend against them.

Don't think I can say it any better, than what just got said. Hanging at the bar with buddies, or in the locker room would be a better setting for it. Just my thinking on this place, but to me it's no different from meeting someone on the street. People on here get together for games and stuff. I'm not gonna treat anyone here differently, over someone I just met in a store. That's not a joke I'd whip out to tell someone I Just met. Male or female.... Just my thoughts though....

I feel the same. I would have told that joke regardless of who was here.

I wondered the same as I was typing it, especially considering the context. I see a bit of a difference, but I could understand if some didn't, and wouldn't be upset if it were moderated.

This, I think, is the primary difference between the two of us.

I think the primary difference is that I don't think much should be moderated. If you don't like it, ignore someone. I also wouldn't care if everything was moderated equally, but it can't be because sly, who is great at what he does, can't see everything.

No difference there--I agree with everything you just posted.

Of course I'm also flagging your post as inappropriate, just for the hell of it. I'm offended by your implication that I think things should be moderated. How dare you.
 
To upset the Warriors we would have to control the tempo of the game. We'd have to play defense and slow them down a bit. If we play at their fast as hell tempo we'd would have a hard time keeping up. I think it would be a good series, and we'd wouldn't make it easy for them. Upsetting them is possible, look at Memphis upsetting the Spurs back in the day....If you believe, you put the work in, and leave it on the court anything is possible.

OK, I did, as well as at the '94 Nuggets and '98 Knicks--all 8 seeds to win a series. All top 10 in the league in defensive rating, and 2 of the 3 bottom 10 in the league in pace.

I don't know if we really have the scheme necessary to borrow from those playbooks.

Ah... No i'ts not. There is no inflection in the written word. There is no visual perception. Some don't need to be told that.
 
Before the Durant injury the Warriors were looking like one of the all time best teams. They were destroying teams.
Durant is expected back by April 1. A Blazer victory would be the biggest upset in the first round....ever. I can't see it happening.

Better than where we came from. That old place, even if you left a couple letters out of a cuss word (S#*t) for example, you'd get in trouble. It's all about that free speech life FAMS!
