Nothing in the link you provided negates this:
There's no way OKC gives up Shai, and Philly want to compete, so just getting a pile of OKC's picks in return isn't going to cut it. If he ends up with OKC (which I think makes a LOT of sense - plus it would be hilarious) there'd have to be a third team. Something like this:Well Philly would want Gilgeous-Alexander as part of the deal. But the Blunder do have the picks. Then Simmons can have the whole team to himself.
I got this gut feeling CJ is gonna go off this year.Just want to point out that this is the image the Blazers are using to advertise the coming season:

What seasons were Demar and Russ all nba defenders? The 2nd piece on a championship team had to be a guy who can play off your #1. Simmons isn't good enough as the #1 and isn't complimentary enough as the #2. It's the same reason why Westbrook and Derozan struggle in the playoffs. You also can't get by in the playoffs with only one player on the roster who can create their own shot off the dribble at a high-level. The dude folds when it matters most, might not want to be here, and has shown zero improvement offensively since entering the league. People have fallen in love with the idea of Ben Simmons, not who he actually is. If you trade for him, you have to trade Nurkic to make it work and he has far less value on the trade market than he would to our team next year without Simmons. There's so many reasons why this won't work, and I've only heard one legitimate reason for it. That's not enough to offset all of this. Simmons is not the answer.
Hes also from Melbourne. I hear its similar to PortlandPersonally don’t care where Simmons wants to play trade for him and he’ll fall in love with the city that will love him like no other. Not to many players who come here don’t like playing/living here
Only thing missing there: Western Conference Executive "from California" on Ben Simmons.
Neil is a fucking moron.Just want to point out that this is the image the Blazers are using to advertise the coming season:

No, they were saying that Ben isn't saying it. Whether it's a Bay area radio host speculating, or a CA team's GM trying to tilt the scales in his team's favor, it's sill a narrative being put out there by someone outside of Simmons' camp, and thus there's no valid reason to buy into the claim. You're not making a point as a matter of fact you're making mine.
It doesn't matter where the exec is from, IT'S AN EXEC... The Bensexuals were saying execs weren't saying this...

ill go on record snd say Dviss is one of the most upstanding people in here.
And im making this statement based on interactions outside of here.
Curt and abrasive at times? Sure. Who, with passion, isnt at times?
There are several people i have mad respect for here. Dviss is right near the top of that list.
I honestly can’t think of a single time you have taken a hard stance on something and changed your mind when presented with evidence that counters your opinion. Once you dig in on something like Simmons, that’s it.Thanks brother. I appreciate you. I'll admit, I'm not always nice and sometimes "snarky".
But, I'll never lie. I speak the truth as I see it. Some folks just don't see it... Especially when we talk about this racist ass country.

Sorry, I guess I was confused by the fact that the tweet you had posted was about an exec claiming Ben only wanted to play in California. What are you talking about? This isn't about Ben only wanting CA teams. It's about Execs NOT wanting him...

I was talking about the culture but ok
And frankly... THIS IS YOU you're describing...

Dumas was just hypothesizing. SI is wrong to make that an untrue headline. This article from Sports Illustrated

I can think of a very specific time when I changed my mind on here. When the NBA closed up for COVID, I had originally thought it was just a bad cold/flu. I remember being pissed that they shut down the season and I argued with some people on here. And then people pointed out some specific information about it and I did research and I changed my mind. I took COVID very seriously from that point on, unlike my parents and most of my friends.
Can you honestly think of a time on here that you had your mind completely changed?
That came from the same guy. This link is rehashing it a month later.Fine here’s something a little more timely. I’m not writing this shit. Simmons isn’t coming to Portland and I honestly don’t get why we would want to bring this prima donna anywhere near our team’s culture.
