What's the most you would give up for Ben Simmons?

They could change the team name, to the OKC SimmonsStorm.

There's no way OKC gives up Shai, and Philly want to compete, so just getting a pile of OKC's picks in return isn't going to cut it. If he ends up with OKC (which I think makes a LOT of sense - plus it would be hilarious) there'd have to be a third team. Something like this:

Jah probably wouldn't be happy, but the Grizz's owner absolutely would, and they have too many guaranteed contracts right now. And Philly would be a defensive MONSTER.
Would OKC do it? Maybe if their fans threaten a rebellion about their "team" just being a holding pen for draft picks. Downside is that when Presti actually uses his picks, he always tends to pick the same kind of player: tall passer. Would he want Simmons if he's already invested in Giddey and Pokusevski? Also, are Shai and Simmons a good match or do they have the same problems that Dame and Simmons would have?

That trade does make Philly better. Destroys Mempiss. The SimmonsStorm get there playoff destiny moved up from 2035 to 2030.

There's so many reasons why this won't work, and I've only heard one legitimate reason for it. That's not enough to offset all of this. Simmons is not the answer.

No, they were saying that Ben isn't saying it. Whether it's a Bay area radio host speculating, or a CA team's GM trying to tilt the scales in his team's favor, it's sill a narrative being put out there by someone outside of Simmons' camp, and thus there's no valid reason to buy into the claim.

What are you talking about? This isn't about Ben only wanting CA teams. It's about Execs NOT wanting him...

But, I'll never lie. I speak the truth as I see it. Some folks just don't see it... Especially when we talk about this racist ass country.

I honestly can’t think of a single time you have taken a hard stance on something and changed your mind when presented with evidence that counters your opinion. Once you dig in on something like Simmons, that’s it.

You don't know me. I ALWAYS take new information and use it to form my opinion.

With regard to Ben Simmons, I know everything I need to know. I've watched his entire career since high school.

There is no new info...

honest people are hard to find. Sometimes because many people cant handle the truth. Leads to people being fake just to get by. I struggle with it all the time. two peas in a pod bro. Even if we dont always see eye to eye. ;)

I can think of a very specific time when I changed my mind on here. When the NBA closed up for COVID, I had originally thought it was just a bad cold/flu. I remember being pissed that they shut down the season and I argued with some people on here. And then people pointed out some specific information about it and I did research and I changed my mind. I took COVID very seriously from that point on, unlike my parents and most of my friends.

Can you honestly think of a time on here that you had your mind completely changed?

What does this even mean? I'm always open to suggestion. Suggest with info that matters... Who cares if it's on an online forum or not? Apparently you...

I don't use conjecture to form my opinions. I gather all the info and then make a decision. If y'all can't come up with a good counter argument... :dunno:
