Nope. Glickman was the GM back in 77 (era), and Stu Inman was the GM from 81-86, and Spolestra from 86-89, and then Petrie from 90-94.

IIRC...

Inman drafted Drexler, Porter, and Kersey (and drafted Bowie over Jordan and Barkley)

Spolestra drafted Cliff Robinson and Drazen; and traded for Duckworth and Buck Williams

I think Petrie signed Ainge and Rod Strickland and Chris Dudley.

I forget who the GM was that traded Drexler to Houston

I would consider being in favor of a CJ for Ben trade ONLY if the Sixers gave Portland a future 1st and/OR Thybulle -- I know some say I am crazy and Morey would NEVER do this but at this point while people want Simmons he is not nearly as valuable as Morey thinks and Simmons by saying he wanted out has kind of tanked his value a little bit and hurt the Sixers. It's possible in a few weeks or months the market for Simmons MIGHT pick up but at this point his value is less then it might have been if Simmons would have kept his mouth shut. I believe Morey and the Sixers have to decide if it's more important to get prime value for him and maybe bring him back to disrupt there legit chance for a ring OR take a little less and move on not give the team the headache of the situation. I guess only time will tell but this is almost the NBA's version of a soap opera so sit back grab some popcorn and a drink and let's see how this plays out should be interesting and maybe funny too.

There's no doubt in my mind that he will be a Warrior. They will probably deal Green in the process and all young assets and picks they can manage. Green would immediately add to the sixers. Heild has never played a minute of playoffs, Green is a multi ring guy.

Sixers need a guard who can create his own shot and score in a tight game 7. That isn’t Green.

Just want to make sure all the CJ haters who complain about “playoff CJ” are aware of “playoff Ben”. Simmons is a very talented guy who makes an impact on the game no doubt. One of the more exciting things if he were to ever come here would be the colossal meltdowns the game threads would have when he can’t make FTs during hack-a-Ben games that’s for sure

I'm definitely in favor of trading CJ for Simmons. But I also admit there's a grass-is-greener kind of thing going on. CJ is absolutely fearless about taking shots. Simmons....isn't.

Dame got wrecked by NOP and looked god awful, but that one slides? I personally give people a bad series here or there. CJ has only had one GOOD series, whereas Simmons has only had one BAD series.

Everyone understood your point we just thought it was a bad comparison and a reach to boot.

Yes that one does slide. And CJ has had other good series. He was actually good in the NOP series. Also good vs LAC and in his breakout series against Memphis.
