i was looking at vets with expiring contracts after this season...and i think vince carter could be a guy that we could get for cheap (part of the MLE) and really help us score off the bench. he is in the twilight of his career and probably wants to contend for a title. i thin it would be very cool to have VC in portland for a year or two.
mo cj and vince off the bench as our wings would be a solid foundation for a bench.
what say you?
he still gets buckets

Every time I've watched him, it seems like he's done. I think there are other guys that should be available. Vince should really just retire.

really? i couldnt dissagree more...but thats why we have these message boards!

I like that idea. VC still has some game in him. Have him come off the bench for 10-15 minutes, hopefully get us 8-10 points... It'd be worth it.

I think a player like him would mitigate the need for a true PG backup, because he can play much like Batum does for us in the halfcourt, running some pick n rolls and keeping the ball moving. He and CJ off the bench would do well IMO.
