Posting this here b/c I figure this is where I'll get the most responses.

Please tell me all the benefits of being a sports agent and/or why someone should choose a career as a sports agent? I got a paper to write and I got kind of a mental block. :)

Trips to nudie bars with clients. Get to watch them make it rain.

Date Renee Zellwegger.

Drive fancy car and sing along to Tom Petty songs on the radio.

Meh, it's just another way to use a law degree.

Would you really date Renee Zellwegger? I can barely look at her in the movies.

I actually met one of Arn Tellem's assistants before a clipper game.....always on the phone, worrying about injuries, trades, etc.....but free tix. seemed very fast paced.

lots of negotiating, if you like that stuff...dealing with contracts, numbers, and rules...kind of like putting together a puzzle I guess

It's a sports movie, it's a comedy, it's about business, it's about romance. "Jerry Maguire" did boffo box office when it came out in December 1996 because, unlike many sports films, it had broad appeal. And it had a rejuvenating mix of idealism and realism. Realism? Writer-director Cameron Crowe did do his research. But does "Jerry Maguire" depict the life of the big-time sports agent accurately? You decide.

Pretty nice Page2 article.

And I prefer the power-hungry girlfriend Kelly "fucking" Preston.
