I don't agree with Bernie on some things but I do think he's a good man who cares about Americans.

Im sure he’s portrayed differently in the media than he is, when not in front of camera’s, but since this is the media, isnt it just a different media trying to portray him in a different light?
I think its safe to say none of us know if he’s a “good man” or not away from the “media”, because our only exposure to him is the media...

Well, I've had no problem with the past 3+ years, even while he's been continuously lambasted by the dems.
 
Strolled ten minutes from my house and watched Bernie for a bit on Saturday
I'd upload a video if somebody will tell me how to do it. (Don't get excited, it's pretty crappy quality.)

It's funny how you only mention corruption in regards to other, Democratic, politicians, never Trump--til called on it and then you retreat to "Oh, well, they're all corrupt anyway."

I think we see this behavior all over the place. I see it in myself too.
I can pick away at the Blazers get frustrated by them, but they're my team! Some Laker fan comes in and wants to go at my team saying kind of the same stuff I'm saying and I'm way more defensive about it.

In general, it's partially why I find politics so frustrating, it's a topic that once the perception is you're on a different team, it becomes party over country. It becomes well you think differently than I do on this subject so I've basically decided I'm now going to be defensive and sometimes offensive about how I talk to you. There is a very tribal part in our DNA that makes it very hard for humans to communicate once we believe the other person is "against us". I think ABM, in this case, isn't that different than most people, he's cool with other people in "his" group bad-mouthing his guy, he's ok with accepting the problems of his guy, but he doesn't really want to hear it from who he perceives to be people against him.

I have no conclusive way to determine if he's corrupt, or not. Do you?

Sure. When I see him purposely use his position in government to enrich himself, like having foreign dignitaries stay at his hotels (at full price) or jacking up the room rates at his resorts for his Secret Service (they're required to remain with him and their expenses are paid by the tax-payers), it's pretty clear he's corrupt, before you even get to the also-obvious things that most Republicans pretend are okay because he's their guy (like withholding aid passed by Congress for Ukraine unless they investigate a political rival for him).

Well, ya got me there. He's obviously corrupt and done nothing to further this country. I'm certain Joe Biden will be exemplary in that regard.

But hey, he's against women deciding for themselves about abortion, so anything he does will have your full support. Except, of course, flipping on the subject of abortion.

Hey, whether he flipped, or not...he's now solidly on the side of protecting the unborn. As I had mentioned in other threads, I've been through 3 abortions, God then touched my life, so now I'm on the side of preserving their lives. Please respect me in that regard. Thanks.

I respect the fact that you've been through what presumably were unpleasant or painful experiences in your life. I don't need to respect all of your views, though. Just as you don't have to respect mine. I don't believe all views need to be respected. As an easy, not-based-on-you example, I don't think neo-Nazi views need to be respected. I respect views that, in my opinion, respect the rights of others.
