My cousin is visiting from Colorado and I’m looking for a good place to take him for a brunch.

Either of the Screen Door restaurants or Mother's Bistro in downtown Portland.

The Benson used to have an amazing brunch but that's gone.

...

Better idea, drive to Seattle for brunch and catch a Mariners game.

Franks Diner or the Otis Cafe

Mariners are in San Francisco

I dont like Mother's Bistro. Too fancy. Was not a fan of their biscuits and gravy.

Give me biscuits and gravy with cheap powder Gravy, cheap biscuits, and spend on the meat.

My wife likes Brix Tavern in Portland, Eastburn in Portland or Hive Social in Oregon City.

I miss Shari's stuffed hashbrowns.

I just had those for the first time about a month before Shari's closed. BOMB!

Cosign on Hive Social. Having tried all the brunch spots, it's easily the best.

2nd is Jam.

And yes, the troutdale food cart slaps hard. They have a montage there. Need I say more?

My favorite breakfast place in Portland is the Cameo Cafe on 82nd and Sandy. But it's a greasy spoon diner place, maybe it's not an impressive spot for a guest. Recently had brunch at Urban Farmer at the 9s that was really good.

Amazing food there.

If your family member is into Twilight, you can get breakfast at the Carver Cafe.

I'll bet the Blazers PF has a mean breakfast spread.
