Tom’s Pancake House in Beaverton is the best.
This is going to turn into a breakfast club...
Mmmm grits. Bronze shrimp and grits from lolas in vegas. MmmmI accidentally posted in the wrong thread, so I will re-post it here.
Grandma's place is usually the best for me. She was from the deep south so she'd usually made grits, 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices of bacon, 2 links of sausage, buttered toast, and a tall glass of fresh cold milk for my breakfast.
She would have me mix my egg yolk with the grits and add a touch of butter and salt. Man, can she cook.
Ah grits.....a Missouri friend turned me onto grits about 30 years ago and I have never understood why they’ve only recently become popular in this area. Mix in some good quality cheese and it’s heaven on earth. One of my favorite meals is the balls and polenta (Fancy name for grits) at 24th & Meatballs. Of course, shrimp and grits is good pretty much anywhere........Ok, couldn't find a burger joint thread via search, but...
BURGERVILLE. THAT IS ALL. WHY CAN'T WE ALL HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN EVERY CITY IN THE USA?! GEEEEEEZ,
That place is what all other burger restaurants wish they could be.
GRITS man you had me at GRITS! I know most non-southerners don't get it but.......I LOVE GRITS!

That's too bad but I understand why.In Vegas, whenever it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, I go to the buffet.

So do I..... if I feel like eating mediocre food that makes me feel like I need to shit every 30 minutes....
Any diner with a waitress wearing a beehive hairdo who's worked there since the 50's......
One of the best places for breakfast was the Mt, Hood Cafe on about 165th and Division. They closed up several years ago, but the omelets were outrageous and on the weekends you had to wait in a line outside the place. The omelettes were gigantic.
It depends on the buffet, Mirage or Bellagio for breakfast is awesome, especially if you were partying the night before.
Buddy's Diner in Eugene....best all around American food available if you like Happy Days Cusine..great music...memorobilia

Y’all have some great choices listed, mothers and Tasty n Sons are tops for sure.
But Breakfast is such an easy meal to make incredible at home. Step 1) buy excellent bacon. Step 2) Cook the bacon just right where it’s crispy as hell but shy of burnt, Step 3) make other stuff to pair with the bacon, Step 4) Eat the bacon and other stuff.
Edit : riverman is correct, great coffee too
Lived near the one on Barbur...
Bring cash...
Been out to the one in the Lake O. They have a savory French toast.. OMG... I can taste it now...

We hardly ever cook bacon and for years when we did it was in a pan on the stovetop.Y’all have some great choices listed, mothers and Tasty n Sons are tops for sure.

Some emerald suites have great buffet breakfasts.
Hoots in Eugene was AWESOME! Each booth had their own little jukebox.
I’m a cast iron cooker when it comes to bacon. I don’t make it often either. I hardly every have time of inclination for a big breakfast but I do cook dinner often and I’ll sometimes start out with 2 slices of bacon - set aside for either salad or to make a green better. Then use the rendered fat to cook some chix or pork.We hardly ever cook bacon and for years when we did it was in a pan on the stovetop.
Now my wife cooks it in the oven in a deep baking pan on parchment paper and it is perfect every time with little mess.

I never buy a pack of bacon anymore, I go to the meat counter and buy exactly how many think cut slices I require.
