Might it be better to stretch him instead and keep the lottery talent? Then buy a pick down in the late teens to 20's?
Might be, depending on how their rankings broke down. Though buying a pick would take up the 3 million amount allowed per year. And, if we stretched him, kept our pick at 11, AND bought a pick lower, that'd be likely a 4 million or so cap hit.
All depends on who's left on the board, I suppose. Wroten's high ceiling is intriguing, and his bust potential likely keeps him lower than his talent deserves. He might not be a "true" PG, but I've never been a big supporter of building a team around the PG position. And I'd love the length of a 6'5" PG in Wroten, and Batum at 6'8" at SG. If were able to find a scoring SF and a defensive big.
