The stats say otherwise.

Cool. I agree about the fact college educated people make more. No one is going to refute that fact and neither did I if you read anything I wrote. I wrote about situations THAT ARE VERY REAL.

Everything I wrote I stand by. Because compassion is cool to have.

It's weird to have to defend that I have common sense on more than just stats and having compassion.

You can both understand the stats and have compassion. It's okay, you can do it. It's wonderful over here.

the White House coming out swinging

What company did she get a PPP loan for? Because individuals can't get PPP loans. She would have had to have a payroll.

And to have it forgiven, that means she had used it for the intended purpose and submitted documentation proving so.

edit: I guess sole proprietorships can get PPP loans? Who knew. In any case, anyone know the entitiy used to secure this PPP loan?

She got a loan and it was forgiven. What she used as an excuse I don’t know. Or care. It’s just so fucking hypocritical

It really wasn't. It was a government program to ensure her company didn't fire her entire staff during the pandemic. PPP Loans were never meant to be paid back, it was free money provided you fill out the forms correctly and used the money to pay your employees. Everyone knew that.

Student Loan Borrowers had their payments completely frozen during the pandemic up to the current day. They got $10k of loans cancelled, provided they meet certain income limits ($125k/$250k)

What's the hypocrisy? They aren't even close to being the same thing.

You said it yourself, it was free money. She got a handout and is complaining when others are getting one.

She gladly took money from the govt.
she used it on something
She didn’t have to take the money
She isn’t paying it back.
She’s a piece of shit.

Sallie Mae isn't the government. Student loans aren't a pandemic related program aimed at saving the US Economy.

Ok. It was the government and now it isn’t. And Sallie Mae can fuck the right off. Getting mad about people getting money removed from their debt is just dumb. And yes I think there is a clear parallel between the politicians getting their loans closed out and this. It’s actually far worse of a look for Marj and gang.

Her company accepted the 182,000. Which is fine. And the govt said don’t worry about it it’s yours. Students get 10k wiped off and all of a sudden Marjorie and Marty Gaetz are livid. It’s so fucking on brand for them.

fake outrage is one of the funniest things about MAGA (and a few people on here too).

Please show me the line item?

We won't know how much it costs until people start applying.

And they are deflecting on how it's gonna be funded.

I'm hearing this may go to the Supreme Court after the midterms and possibly be cancelled later.

here's the thing:

The government helped both the people on PPP and us.

So the PPP people can't be mad we got the same treatment they did. And what's even more sick, is the PPP people got MORE upset that we got a bailout and we are taking WAY less of a handout.

THAT is where the issue is. And THAT can't be refuted, because it's fact based on ALL the talk.

That discussion is over.

Very true, PPP was way more. This one is hardly a blimp on the deficit.
I still am in favor of these institutions paying for some as the tuitions they charge and increases they take at will is almost of rip off category.

I'm sorry. What I mean is, show me the line item for WW2, the Gulf War, the Bank Bailout, etc.

I'm sure we know how much they were by now, right? How much did you have to pay for them?

No clue. It's through our taxes, inflation or reduction of services from the government. Things cost money.
We've had record low inflation for 40 years... Things are stupid cheap. Cheaper than its ever been. The government has more than enough money to offer all services to Americans, in fact, we spend more by NOT offering services.

These are made up problems. There is no evidence of any of your claims.

All of that spending resulted in the absolute most prosperous time in our country's history. The most prosperous time in world history.

War = good?

Were the stimmys good or bad for the economy?
Why are you trying to change the subject? Stimulus was obviously fantastic for the economy, especially compared to the alternative (even if it was done in a piss poor manor).

I'm still looking for how much that spending cost an individual taxpayer. But that evidence doesn't exist. Because as inflation happens the country grows out of the debt.

That's the benefit of being the world's reserve currency, as well as the most stable currency, as well as the best geographic place in the world with all of the resources we need to support ourselves.

The dollar is the safest investment in the world. And that's not going to change in our lifetimes. In fact the dollar is going to be far more desirable from now on. So people will keep investing in the dollar.

There will be inflation due to ending globalism, but we'll have so much demand for labor that wages should keep up (unless we allow our leaders to give that money to corporations).
