I hinted at this last night, so I decided to create a new thread.

OF THE OPTIONS LISTED, what would you consider the Franchises biggest non-basketball/on court related cock up?

My choice would not be on the list....not drafting Michael Jordan would be pretty high up the blunder list for me

That's a basketball related blunder. I should've added the Steve jones ones but spaced on it.

The Mikes, to me personally they are the voice of the Blazers and they had just went through one of the most exciting Blazer seasons ever before getting canned... aaaaaaand I really wanted Rice to be there for the emergence of Nurkic :( would've been a lot more fun than Hurd acting like a 13 year old boy and Calabro being indifferent for the sake of being unbiased...

I give the new guys a pass for their first season together...it was a shitty season to take over...Mike and Mike left before the team became an undersized banged up rebuilding project..now we're back on track...the team had virtually no identity to latch onto for the new broadcast team before Nurk....now I feel we have a real solid core and some bench depth. Rice does well with names like Nurk......

Do hiring and firing coaches count as non-basketball moves? If so, firing Rick Adelman with two years left on his contract was pretty stupid. The team had gotten older and had become injury prone. With no influx of young talent, their record was bound to get worse, and it wasn't the coach's fault.

It would have been interesting to see how those 1999 and 2000 teams would have done with Rick at the helm.

Fans believing PA will ever do what it takes to make the team competitive.

I chose adding Silver to the uniforms. I hate that shit with the passion...

But to me the biggest off-the-court blunder buy a Blazer was Hollywood Robinson crashing in the Terwilliger curves.

I voted for Firing Schonz. A bit premature and handled very very poorly.

Well, a positive in retrospect, Schonz didn't have to go through the Jailblazers era as an announcer. He probably would have had an embolism during the WCF Game 7 meltdown and, if survived, would not have held his tongue regarding the player's stupidity.

Are we talking Cliffy? I do not know about this...
