Nothing too interesting about it. It’s pro sports. If someone is clearly better than you, you try and find a psychological edge. If they’re clearly triggered than great.

There’s a guy who went to Notre Dane who played for the Pistons, grew up in a rich family, yet made an amazing impact on championship Detroit teams in the 80’s doing that exact thing.

I have played sports all my life. I am a huge competitor. I am a "Jerk" i guess because i most certainly have pushed buttons on the court/field and i have absolutely got myself into altercations with other players.

Bunch of Players (Not fans) say Durant, Paul, Westbrook, are some of the best teammates they have ever had. Why isn't LeBron in this conversation? Obviously MJ was an ass but Clyde was so cheap he wouldn't tip waitresses. Who's the jerk?

For me its if a player plays dirty all the time and is arrogant about it. I cant judge him for his off court persona as I don't know them.
I though K Malone's game was borderline dirty and he had an arrogance about it too. Hell of a player though.
I think Grayson Allen has been humbled some in te pros but that guys was dirty in college and an arrogant as hell.

I think Durant is an insecure guy, someone who wants to please so badly that it's awkward. I'd save terms like "jerk" for people who are malicious towards others.

I disagree. I’ve seen Durant treat reporters very rudely, and his comments about the actor Michael Rapaport were extremely vulgar.

I have had 2 interactions with CP3.....once in a hotel lobby and he was real cool. Once at a dinner WITH some of our players and was SUPER cool. Hate him as a player though.

Friends of my son who went to OSU and one who red shirted on the basketball team there said Gary Payton II is a real asshole ...he wasn't liked very much by his teammates...don't know if that carried over to his NBA experience
