Bill Simmons: "The NBA media deal talks are over, TNT lost it, NBC is getting it."

I'd prefer NBC get it over TNT for yes the John Tesh theme. I like that more - and interested in what content we get from NBC/Amazon.

ESPN and ABC are the worst and honestly I'd prefer never watching their coverage.

This. Give me NBC with John Tesh Theme with the Inside the NBA crew, and let me stream it for a reasonable price.

Then I'm happy.

Well, once Jody sells I think I will be...

I'll be honest: I don't give much of a shit about any of 'em except Barkley.
It’s a chemistry thing bro. When that crew is gone, you’ll see how much and well they play off of eachother.

Duh Ernie will take the money and make it happen. I’m not worried at all.

That offer is going to be so massive he’d be an idiot to decline. Look for the show to continue on nbc

If TNT losses the NBA why are they going to want to continue to pay Ernie many millions? Why would he want to be the lone guy left out of the NBA?

I'd expect both sides settle on some sort of buyout.

But all the talk now is probably just a bunch of posturing and bluffs for each side to get their best deal.

I hope TNT is open to Ernie doing both.

Personally I grew tired of their shtick. It got old....as everything eventually does.

I had assumed it will primarily be on peacock but a few games on NBC - sort of similar to ESPN/ABC.

NFL said numbers actually improved for Sunday ticket moving to YouTube away from directv.

Tnt already is streaming on hbo Max. I'll still watch if it's on peacock too.

I think once it's re-done, many people will realize just how much synthesizer was used in the original.

Yeah, I finally cut the cord last week. I get the TNT games on Max and the ESPN games on their APP.
In September I will add FUBO or HULU + to get the Big 10 football games and some local stations.

But right now I am just fine streaming Max, Apple, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Before I had those 4 plus paying Spectrum $180 per month for cable TV.

You will see how many people don’t stream sports. Will shock some.
We've already seen with Amazon Prime NFL, it's worked very well and many people prefer it as its much easier to watch across different devices than the senior citizens that have cable.

This is true right now because they don't need to. But eventually, they will be forced to. And why not since it is cheaper......for now anyway.

All the best TV is found via streaming services. So like I said above in another post, I was paying for both. And with the Ducks moving to the Big 10 I was forced to educate myself on the various options. And when I found out that certain streaming services also offer the local and cable stations I was watching, it made the switch easy. Yes, I am old and was slow to realize this. I needed a reason to change.
