Bill Walton statue isn't welcome in San Diego, so maybe they should send it to Portland

There is a pretty good chance that if they put audio of him telling stories and charged people to listen that I would pay for that every time I was in Portland.

About time for Portland to get the 24 Hour Church of Big Red to replace the 24 Hour Church of Elvis. At least Walton has ties to Portland.

I'd make a case for Terry Porter given his commitment to Portland and his legacy as a Blazer...his work with JK, Duckworth and Brian Grant..I think Terry has Portland in his blood as much as any great Blazer could.

So did Duck, Luke and BGrant. They all chose to live here after their playing days were over.

I vote for a SlyPokerDog statue.

Paul Allen will probably start up the church of Nirvana with Quincy Jones as paster and Ann and Nancy Wilson leading worship.

As opposed to the Mark Lindsay Statue with Art Alexakis hosting a bake sale to pay for it? Because let's face... this is Stumptown and we can fund anything.

All of you are getting it wrong.

The statue should be of:

Dr. Jack Ramsey.

Get your heads out...

Lead singer of Paul Revere And The Raiders.... had a show on KISN years ago. That's about it on rock figures of major note from PDX (minus Art Alexakis.)

The TV program in the late 60s? I think it was syndicated nationally. I watched it in Los Angeles.

Here's Mark Lindsay from Eugene in the early 70s, when they had dropped the costumes and grown beards. He's the lead singer. John Loudermilk, writer of their hit Indian Reservation, died a week ago. This is Let Me, which younger people will recognize since some girl group remade it a few years ago.

12 years before the Raiders version made #1.

My favorite PR and the Raiders cuts were Hungry and Kicks...back in the days of the 45 when you bought two songs at a time....then all those Boyce and Hart songs of that era...back in the days when everyone still threw garbage in the ditch out of the car window....I have a neighbor who's stuck in that time zone still

You should go to the Mountain time zone and pull him out of that ditch.

Yes. This needs to happen. There is no more deserving player than Bill Walton. Maurice Lucas is as deserving, and if someone is getting rid of a Mo Lucas statue we should get that too...

This needs to sit out between the MC and the Rose Garden. Closer to the MC side...
