Yeah I don’t know why I don’t see this logic anywhere else. It’s a big risk trying to come into the country illegally with kids and they must know the risk of it. I don’t know why people treat them as victims when they know the risk going into the decision. I wish it all didn’t have to be how it is but there are laws.

Yes, I feel terrible for the people with those hardships but it’s not our job to fix other countries messes.

HOWEVER, if Canada wants to set up an immigration port on our southern border and let anyone come in I’m all for it. After all, they claim to be so pro-immigrant so they can fly them into Toronto and situate them.

I don't agree eith immigrants coming here legally either. But, I understand why. Staying in Mexico for them means death. America means hope, oppurtunity, survival. If I was in their shoes I'd take the same risk.

If they get it (illegally), they are at high risk of being exploited, forced to live 10-people-to-an-attic, blackmailed into further illegal activity and unprotected in terms of status. Assuming that a) you make it past the border without having your family torn apart and being thrown in prison before your deportation trial, b) you find someone willing to offer you shelter without calling the authorities, c) you find someone willing to offer you an under-the-table job or risk their own livelihood by not conducting all of the applicable W-4/I-8 criteria and d) not get blackmailed on either of those 3 into working in the sex or drug trade, your children will be at risk of being picked up by CPS or ICE at school and held while you are investigated and deported.

The "hope" is that they have the opportunity to survive. I'm not sure that's the right answer. Regardless, try making a border crossing into Pakistan, Russia, Iran or Nicaragua some time.

This statement alone... Mexico should take responsibility and fix their own problems. It’s not our responsibility to take in their downtrodden. We have our own homeless epidemic that WE need to take care of first.

I have never said I didn't understand why they come here. What irritates me is that the ability to walk here shouldn't gain someone an advantage.

They could start by sending all the American criminals who fled there back here...then require visas to enter Mexico....Watch...it'll fill up with Russian and Chinese tourists instead of Americans in Cabo...not having a great relationship with Mexico is a stupid foreign policy move period...nothing to gain from any of it....many illegals here came because they were refugees....not scammers. It's our job to patrol who comes into the country...not Mexico's....cartel mobs and gangsters don't run across the border...they just fly to Canada and cross over.
