Flying into JFK a few summers ago for work and the plane I was on did this exact thing. Looking out the window we were about to touch down, next thing you know the pilots yells on the speakers,”HOLD ON PLEASE!!!” We don’t touch down, but we literally take off straight up! All the passengers were freaking out and screaming. Most scared I’ve ever been on a plane in all my years. Never did get an explanation as to what exactly happened. Had to have been a similar situation. Scary as fuck!

American can have some really good deals. Just flew 1st class from PDX to Merida, MX for 8,000 miles. I would never pay $ for first class, it's not that nice but for miles it was good.

American Airlines has good deals for Colombia too. I hate flying with them but it’s pretty much the only airline that can get to where my wife is from in Colombia with only one stop. I’ve gotten round trips multiple times for less than $500. PDX-MIA nonstop is a brutal one tho

I do hate flying with them after getting stuck on tarmacs enough times
