Wow...I don't know what I'm talking about either. Somehow I thought I got a notification that your post was in reply to mine. I see clearly that I was incorrect--my apologies.

I think I must have assumed it was directed to me because I was the one who actually expressed the feelings to which @jonnyboy was replying, so I got all up in my feelings thinking hypocrisy was being implied. Only explanation I can come up with, but still not an excuse.

You know, "common sense" would say when you gut a program and it's workers and something happens AFTER that... it would be the fault of the person who took the workers away.
 
Terrible tragedy, goes without saying.

I have no information beyond what has been reported. I have no secret sources unavailable to ordinary mortals. But, cut aviation safety, warned disaster could occur, disaster occurs. Hard not to see sequence.

We need facts and serious leadership, neither of which we will get from this administration.

I doubt we will get any transparency here. If it's the Blackhawk pilots fault, I doubt the administration admits it.

They are just hoping one of the passenger jets pilots is a woman or person of color they can blame it on them.

There’s a long list of people here you should be demanding that concession out of before me. All I did was make a comment criticizing the same behavior you yourself are criticizing. I don’t care about any democrat or republicans extremely dubious ties to a plane crash unrelated to politics.
 
Classless assholes now control the country. I expect nothing less than a total, embarrassing, shameful 4 years of this shit. Blaming diversity hires for a plane crash and removing the Tuskegee airmen films from the Aviation Training Center...there's no excuse for all this partisan mudslinging and by-passing Congress for Executive total power. At least I know I didn't vote for this shit.
 
These hard right partisan fans with their anti-liberal hate sticks...there's no such thing as a good faith conversation around here with them...it's insults and condescension and thinking being loud and full of rage makes you right somehow. Just watch any investigation into govt criminals and it's apparent that Karen's just want to buck the constitution and believe the rule of law is nothing but power and threats to be taken by force and used to oppress those without ways or means to defend their freedoms. One thing, they do get Denny a lot of traffic around here. Ignore them. Like drunks lookin' for a fight in a bar....if nobody fights them they'll just nod out in a corner eventually.
 
RIP to the pilots and passengers of the helicopter and the passenger plane...I can't imagine losing loved ones that way. What a heartbreaking tragedy. I randomly picked a chopper to fly out in the Tonkin Gulf from Danang and the one I didn't choose was blown up in front of me in the air....really strikes a nerve every time I read of a plane crash. I was so lucky to choose the last chopper on the tarmac. I could have easily gotten on the other one. What a loss to USA figure skating to lose the championship couple along with all the other skaters, coaches and just regular folks who lost their lives in this accident.

Looks like the tower was understaffed. The guy that was watching the planes was also tasked with watching helicopters. Usually, these are jobs held by different people.
 
Has there been any explanation for why military copter was flying in civilian airspace at night? Or is Hegseth too drunk to know?

All I've read is that they know it was a highly experienced crew and they had night vision goggles.

I missed the press conference. Who did a trump say was at fault?
 
When asked if he would visit site of crash, Trump sarcastically asked if he was supposed to swim.

What every other president does at time of tragedy:
Lay flowers.
Encourage and praise rescue workers diving in cold dark water searching for bodies.
Comfort family members gathered hoping they can an at least give loved ones decent burial.

Sociopath doesn't consider anyone but himself worthy of praise. Narcissist incapable of compassion.
