Oh damn. She's got you playing house, huh?

Aiight den FAMZ, understood.

It seems like we're pretty much fucked if we don't want to hire a LeGarie client. The guy practically represents half the coaches and management guys in the league. It would be like blackballing Arn Tellem and expecting to get free agents.

Yeah, that was what I said back in 2010 after some posters were applauding LeGarie being blackballed by Paul Allen.

Whitsitt's trades made Dunleavy look great.

Dunleavy did an incredible job considering Whitsitt had a $120 million roster with exactly zero MVP-level players, and one MVP-level headcase for the "franchise" player.

You were just arguing about how you thought Nate was a better coach than Dunleavy just a couple months ago. Pffffft

What does that have to do with Dunleavy doing a good job with Whitsitt's roster?

If they think that highly of Caleb I think the best rout is to hire Jerry Sloan and have Caleb as his lead assistant. Learn from one of the greats.

Sloan
Caleb
Grgs

That would be the best coaching staff in years.

I guess this wasn't as far fetched as some of you made it out to be?

If you read the article, he basically just brings up some decent points

He can use rock solid points as bricks in constructing his argument, but if he keeps using bullshit as the mortar between his bricks, his argument still stinks.

That said, Kaleb won't be the head coach; I bet he sticks around as an assistant though. Or, if he's made head coach, it will be with a HUGE Obi Wan assistant coach at his side, not the clowns helping him out last season. Nate looked like he didn't know the NBA rules either, so I can't blame Kaleb too much for learning from that confederacy of dunces.

I would be shocked if Kaleb was named coach as well, but you never know?

Jaynes is just pissed because Paul Allen dissed his conspiracy theory about the team being for sale.

If we bring in Sloan as the head coach, any shot at getting D.Williams is dead.

Maybe we are thinking that not having a coach can help getting a guy like Williams. We can spin it as we want his input on who he wants as his coach.

Dwight Jaynes of CSNNW.com reports that former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan has not been contacted by the Portland Trail Blazers regarding their open head coaching position.
-------------------------
Sloan, who does not use an agent, said, "I could not say I wouldn't be interested if they called. You really don't know until they come and talk to you."

I hope they don't contact Sloan. He's really old, and I'd rather have someone younger who is more likely to not be so old school that the players tune him out soon.

His offensive schemes are loads better than Nates, but if they grew tired of Nate being a hard ass (and not taking any blame), why does anyone think they'll like Sloan?

The Warriors might be one step closer to retaining Michael Malone, who was voted the league's best assistant coach by NBA general managers this season.

Portland is expected to give interim coach Kaleb Canales the full-time gig, according to league sources, taking Malone out of the running. Malone has also been mentioned in the head-coaching searches in Charlotte and Orlando.

That wasn't why the most experienced team we've had in years tuned out McMillan. They did so because his dumbshit schemes fool only young players. Sloan would be the opposite of McMillan, not the same.
