Kind of creepy that you replied with that so fast.
I googled Sugar Daddy.

All seriousness aside, I like Denny's idea but I agree with SPD's thought that a given organization might be hesitant to let their underprivileged youths hang out with Coors Light-swilling sasquatch. (No one in particular in mind.)
A simpler, cheaper solution with the goal of bringing the group together might be a road game viewing party, and I have a venue in mind. It's in the ghetto of Lake Oswego, near the I-5/205 interchange, not far from Claim Jumper. I know the bartender/owners and could probably reserve an area in front of the big TV. Lots of beer on tap, and good food.
Anybody up for that?

They do allow kids. You want to have a viewing party with children in a bar?!?
In Thailand? You want to have a viewing party with children in a bar?!?
I'll be there.I would also like to add @BlazerCaravan and @jlprk to list of people who should come to the next get together.
You'd be looking in the wrong place...he's in Berkley guzzling really strong coffee on a bench in people's parkAnd, I have a plan to get jlprk there: We send him a bus ticket from Bellingham to Haight-Ashbury and commandeer the bus at I-5 exit 291.

Do I have to let them out of my trunk? They do allow kids.
Yes, it's tough driving a used Toyota corolla. /sTheres a ghetto in lake Oswego?
I'd be down if it's a game in February
I agree completely. I mean, I'm not sure how well the Rip City Zeros can handle being around a group with a higher level of maturity........I think if we want to donate money or tickets to a charity would be great. But asking a charity if they want to send children to hang out with a bunch of random men sounds very... it sounds wrong.
The organization might not appreciate exposing kids to what a lifetime of Blazer fandom will do to you as you age. Imagine if one of those troubled kids got into Wookie's Coors Lite sandwich stashI agree completely. I think Sly is potentially working on a second suite offered by the Blazers.
They know we'll never leave if they give it to usBlazers don't have a suite they can give us.

Denny, I like the Charity thing, but personally, if we are going to do it, Id like to get them a suite for next year. A viewing party at some third party location just doesnt seem like a very good charity to give.
I wouldn't trust kids around SPD though.
IMO the charity thing is a bad idea.
1. It would involve background checks on everyone who will be around the children. I can pass mine but it would be a massive undertaking and expense to compile them on everyone going.
2. Last year at a Duck football game an underprivileged teen left a group and raped brutally raped a woman. We could be libel for anything that happens.
3. Wanting to hangout with kids in a suite just sounds creepy.
Again, if we want to all chip in and buy some tickets to send kids to a game is a great idea but I see too many problems wanting to hangout with them.
FWIW, I expect the charity would send their own representatives and staff to make sure everything goes well.
I wouldn't trust kids around SPD though.
