TRAIL BLAZERS TO HOST GAME 1 BROADCAST VIEWING PARTY AT THE ROSE GARDEN SATURDAY
Free event allows fans to watch Trail Blazers vs. Mavericks on the big screen

**Event is open to the media**

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers will host a free broadcast viewing party at the Rose Garden this Saturday for Game 1 of the Trail Blazers' first round series with the Dallas Mavericks.

Doors to the Rose Garden's south entrance will open at 5:30 p.m. Fans will be invited to sit in the Club Level, and will receive 2010-11 Trail Blazers yearbooks and Rip City Uprise playoff placards upon entrance.

Live music, concessions, face painting and appearances by Blaze, the BlazerDancers and Stunt Team will provide an atmosphere of a Trail Blazers home game. Additionally, two merchandise stands will be open, featuring the Rip City Uprise playoff t-shirt.

The big screen in the arena bowl will be lowered for optimum viewing of the game, which tips off at 6:30 p.m. on KGW.

Fans that attend will have an opportunity to win free tickets to the Trail Blazers first home playoff game.

Parking in the Garden Garage is free.

Really cool. If I lived in Portland, I'd go to that. Then watch the game again when I got home!

Very cool! Does anyone else remember watching games at the Paramount?

I just may have to bring the wife and kids to this tomorrow night.

My parents used to go to those all the time! We should do something like that again.

Does anyone remember watching playoff games at Godfather's Pizza?

Those were the days...

Sweet Action! Did this last year, was a blast.

One of the best theaters to watch in Portland is The Mission, Mcmenamins

Have to go to dinner with my Aunt at 6 tomorrow, really wanted to go have a few drinks that that Blazer Bar near the Rose Garden before going to watch the game at the Rose Garden. Oh well looks like a 6 pack of dead guy and going to my brothers house to steal his DVR and watch the game at 11 Saturday. Gotta figure out someway to not know anything that happens before I get to watch the game.

Oh, good luck with that. There is no way you are going to avoid hearing about that game until 11:00 p.m.

Is the yearbook any different then the media guide?

Anyone going to this thing tonight?

Going to depend how early I get done with the goings-on this afternoon - if I have time I'll be racing over there.

I hope they do this again next round! Unfortunately I've got plans this evening and won't see the game until the 4th quarter probably.
