Why can’t the organization just give a real update? There is no reason to pussy foot around. The team is bad and Scoot won’t change that. Just give us something we can ise

Only 23 more games for Love and 20 for Sidy before we have to find a roster spot for them. 15 more games before the trade deadline.

Or our other guys just come back and those guys spend the rest of the season in Gleague and we figure it out this off-season.

If they trade they trade. If not they don't. That's the way it looks. The timing seems too perfect.

The team is bad? Hahahaah, really???? This BAD team is cooking good teams right now. I guess you're watching Baywatch reruns and other balls bouncing.

So trade deadline is now inside of 30 days. For those not up to speed it's Feb 5th.
Look to see Jrue and possibly Grant back on the court in the next week or two.

Be careful what you say. I got blasted around here for saying basically the same thing about injury updates…

Would be great to see Jrue get some reps

Murray has a lumbar strain in his lower back and is listed as out indefinitely. This means a heavy dose of Rupert for a while. Mild strain 1-2 weeks recovery, medium 4-6 and severe 6-8 weeks

Well, Rupes will get some playing time and maybe develop a bit. We will see what he's made of.

In my opinion Billups didn't just stunt Rupert's growth, he caused him to regress, especially in regard to the young man's confidence on the court. I see him hesitate now and be more tentative than when he first came here. He's still only 21 years old and has barely sniffed the court until now. When I watch Rupert, I see a rookie with some ability and potential. He may never put it together at the NBA level, but I'm happy to see Tiago making an attempt to develop him.

At some point we need to look into our medical staff? Some of these injuries can be prevented with the right strength and conditioning plan. Other injuries can be recovered in a timely manner instead of a prolonged timeline.

Can we call our medical staff the best in league? If not then what is preventing us from finding better staffs that is more experience and capable to prevent these injuries or shorten recovery time instead of prolonged?

Are these the same staffs that treated GP2 a few seasons ago?

I'd say that the medical staff argument is pretty low on the list when it comes to accounting for the Blazers' troubles with keeping players healthy. First, I'd say that the Blazers are hardly alone in dealing with injuries. But even so, lumping the injuries that they're dealing with into a single "medical staff" argument isn't really helpful considering that factors vary from player to player. Matisse and Williams have long histories of being injury prone wherever they play. Jrue and Grant are old, but there's also likely changes as to taking calf and Achilles injuries way more seriously in light of recent experiences around the league with them developing into full Achilles tendon ruptures. Dame is the prime example of what can happen if guys try to come back too soon from calf strains. Deni plays like a runaway locomotive. He's bound to have injuries the way he throws his body around. The same is likely going to be true of Sharpe given how high he plays above the rim.
