Blazer Injury Update Thread

At some point we need to look into our medical staff? Some of these injuries can be prevented with the right strength and conditioning plan. Other injuries can be recovered in a timely manner instead of a prolonged timeline.

Can we call our medical staff the best in league? If not then what is preventing us from finding better staffs that is more experience and capable to prevent these injuries or shorten recovery time instead of prolonged?

Are these the same staffs that treated GP2 a few seasons ago?

First off, the staff isn't the same.
Secondly. They didn't mistreat Gary
Thirdly, blaming them for this is such an ignorant thing to say and do.they are not the cause of this.

There is a case to be made that Tiago is playing the vets too many minutes at a stretch. Not sure this is all on the medical staff but coaches put guys in games and give them breaks. Tiago still needs to work on his subs and timeouts as a game progresses.

Yeah, it is a tough call. I mean, last night Rupert got 10 minutes, Sidy 28, Love 29, Jrue 16, and Williams 16. There really isn't anyone else left to spell these guys. Maybe give Reath more minutes at PF.

This team currently doesn't have any vets playing. And it's unlikely that the injuries are minute related.

It seems the increase in nba calf and ankle injuries can be attributed to a faster paced game, combined with a newer trend to wear low cut shoes instead of high tops.

Blazers have 4 games in 6 nights.. I'd be surprised if Deni plays in any of them based upon the report he couldn't bend over to get his socks off, couldn't really sit down, and was heavily wrapped

Based on how our injury situations seem to go, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Deni done for the season. Green font… ???

Is it a good time to extend him for cheap this summer? 4 yr/50m? Do we even want to make an offer this summer?

I don't know if we will but Scoot seems to be the type of guy to bet on himself so I doubt he takes a discount deal this summer after a season almost fully missed due to injury.

At this point, I'm expecting Bones McCoy to run a scanner over Scoot, turn to Cronin and say "He's dead, Joe."
Then Billy Crystal pipes up from his front-row seat at Intuit: "Oh-ho-ho, look who knows so much? Turns out your prospect here is only mostly dead..."

Pretty fucking spectacular news if I'm being honest. I think Deni will be back for the weekend games. Grant back tomorrow.

I think it’s clear Scoot ain’t coming back this year. Maybe we’ve seen the last of him as a blazer and Joe will trade him

I'd be surprised if Deni plays before next Thursday's game. The weekend games are a back-2-back

I think it's clear a lot of people don't really have any clue about things and like to sound smart.

(oddly enough, that's how @THE HCP got not only his job with Blazers broadcasting, but his wife)

Blazers have been pretty conservative with their reports. Doubtful regularly means 2 games away and questionable usually means 1. I'd be surprised if he doesn't play at least one of the games this weekend.
