Has the Thybulle thing been reported anywhere other than the one Twitter post? I saw he was on the bench with the team last night.
I believe it was fueled by the Lakers wishlist team. Seems like it's just the Lakers fishing for help.

Can we add the Blazers pride and dignity to the list?

Feb 24th is when they said Sharpe was out 4-6 weeks.
6 weeks will be today/tomorrow.
Maybe we'll get an update on him here soon? Looks like he was listed as a "game time decision" for last night's game.

knock on wood, but Toumani is really close to having played all 82 games this season. It's been a long time since a Blazer has done that

2022-23 - Sharpe played in 80 games his rookie season
2020-21 - Enes Freedom played in 72 games in a 72 game season
2018-19 - Aminu played 81 games; Dame played 80

2017-18:

2015-16:

2013-14:

so if Toumani plays 82, it will have been the first 82 game season in 8 years; and the first by a starter in a decade. As ususal, Enes Kanter/Freedom is an asterisk

Are Sharpe, Grant, and Vit coming back before the play-in or even for the play-in?

just piggy-backing on the post above:

* last season, 11 NBA player played 82 games; 22 played 80 games or more
* in 2015-16 there were 18 who played 82 games; and 62 played 80 games or more
* in 2005-06 there were 29 who played 82 games; and 73 played 80 games or more
* in 1995-96 there were 44 who played 82 games; and 84 played 80 game or more.....but only 29 teams
* in 1985-86 there were 42 who played 82 games; and 85 played 80 games or more....but only 23 teams
* in 1975-76 there were 30 who played 82 games; and 61 who played 80 games or more....but only 18 teams

maybe 80 games is too high a cut-off point; I'll backtrack thru at 75 games or more

* 1975-76 - 110 players at 75 games or more
* 1985-86 - 144
* 1995-96 - 139
* 2005-06 - 132
* 2015-16 - 134
* last season - 69

gauging for last season, there needs to be an adjustment for the fewer teams/players in those earlier 3 seasons

* last season: 82 games 11--->80 games 22--->75 games 69
* 2015-16: 82 games 18--->80 games 62--->75 games 134
* 2005-06: 82 games 29--->80 games 73--->75 games 132
* 1995-96: 82 games 46--->80 games 87--->75 games 144
* 1985-86: 82 games 55--->80 games 111--->75 games 188
* 1975-76: 82 games 50--->80 games 102--->75 games 183

definite numerical trend-line

I imagine there are a lot of reasons for it. Main ones are probably players more reluctant to play now with a minor injury and teams being cautious with minor injuries. I doubt tanking has anything to do with it. But that does point to the upswing over the last decade of teams giving 'rest games' to their stars. While the NBA seems focused on tanking being a violation of the spirit of the game degrading fan experience, what they should really focus on are back-2-back sets and stars sitting out. That's slams fan experience a fuck of a lot more than Portland holding out Anfernee Simons or Utah holding out Keyonte George

Vit is probably the closest one to come back. With the Blazers' track record of how they treat recovery this season, Grant's calf injury is probbaly season ending. I also don't see them rushing sharpe back from a bone fracture. We are totally capable of beating out GSW and LAC for the 8th spot without them.

Having attended several games this year, there’s nobody that I’ve seen maybe ever that works as hard as Toumani. He and Clingin are on the court an hour and a half before anybody else shooting up dozens of three-point shots. During the game, Toumani is picking up the other player full court causing him to spend several seconds getting the ball across half court. I’ve never seen a work ethic like him. All game long he is sprinting back-and-forth, hustling more than anyone. The fact that he’s playing every game is a testimony to his elite conditioning. He is by my most favorite Trail Blazer.
