Maxie, I think "Let's Get Ugly" would be a great playoff slogan! Truly, the Blazers don't have great shooters, they will win by getting down and dirty. For once, I'm repping you!

I also don't understand this "America's Team" nonsense, whether the Cowboys or the Atlanta baseball team. I mean, I'm American too and I don't cheer for them.

"America's Team" seems to be shorthand for "whichever team is winning enough for bandwagoners to feel good about ditching their team to jump on".

If Roger Staubach stays in the Navy, the Vikings or Steelers are probably "America's Team".

As a child, I didn't understand why "America's Team" was in Dallas, Texas. It made more sense to me that it would be in Washington, DC; the Nation's Capital. I asked my father who Dallas' biggest rival was; he told me it was the Redskins, and that their coach--George Allen--was his favorite coach as he was a Rams fan. From that point on, I was a diehard fan of the Burgundy & Gold. I have spent my life hating Dallas, so this Mavs series is like manna from Heaven.

I think this the one series where we can be more physical than the opposition. If it's pretty, we lose. If it's ugly, we win. Let's get ugly!
