Blazer workouts

I have a feeling they like Dekker and Hollis-Jefferson a great deal.

Apparently Blazers have been doing some workouts already.

On the way home tonight I was listening to the local Boise Sports Radio. They had an assistant Boise State Basketball coach on, and they were talking about Derrick Marks and his NBA potential. The assistant coach stated that Derrick Marks was in Portland two days ago for a workout (among other things).

I wonder how many other workouts the Blazers have had that have gone unreported by the beat writers?

I expect Harrell to dominate the workout with all the mock drafts having him chosen by the Blazers.

Anyone remember past workouts and past drafts? Have we drafted players we haven't worked out?

Dorell Wright is there to (a) look cool, (b) scout the competition for his brother.

Luis Montero, one of the guys being worked out today:

I see a pattern of athletic Forwards projected mid to late 1st round and PG's projected ass end of 2nd round.

Lot of stuff about the workouts on the Trail Blazer twitter feed right now. I have to say, Montrezl Harrell could do with a bit of elocution training.

I was interested in the Brazilian point guard until I saw the player the team is comparing him to on that link.

Looking at the Kevin Pelton's of the world and there seems to be a consensus: Their analytical models LOVE Delon Wright.

Pelton has him as the best projected WARP for his rookie season.

The comparison that is being thrown around is Andre Miller.

Yup. Just like Keith Van Horn and Adam Morrison both became the next Bird. Oh wait...
