Blazers adjust their snoozing -- to stop losing

It's a very good and interesting read, but I'd imagine Nate wouldn't have told his team to stay out til 2-3 a.m. or whatever if guys like Bonzi, Ruben, Sheed, Zach or Darius were still here on the team.
I can only imagine what the guys are doing that late... Channing's probably inviting guys over to his room to play board games or Wii, and Sergio, Rudy and Nicolas are playing their soccer video game.

Just think, tonight while they were busting their butts in practice, i was in my hotel room eating chinese and chatting with you dorks!

Well, those guys were already out until 2 AM, maybe... so they'd have to stay out until 5:00 or so to keep in sync :)

Ha. Good point, though probably not with Nate's blessing. Let's just hope Nate doesn't urge them on to visit strip clubs at every stop so they can enjoy the NBA life.

Thanks for posting. That was a really interesting read.

And good point about how this wouldn't work with Bonzi etc.

Good read, but damn, am I the only one who thinks keeping on your current time is common MF'n sense?

Don't know... but whenever I travel far, I try to adjust to the time difference as much as I can, and judging by the reaction of the Orlando trainers and their wtf are they doing look they probably had, I'm guessing it's hard to get NBA players up for 10:15 p.m. practices when they'd rather be you know... somewhere else.

I thought it was a creative way on keeping the blazers close to their normal schedule. Why not give it a shot and see if it would work. All our bodies and muscles need rest but why not keep it close to the normal clock schedule that its already set at? Sure its 3 hours off but at least this is an attempt to keep these guys sharp with all the road travel that they have to undertake.

Interesting... I wonder if we'll see more teams in more sports do this now?

Dr. Charles Czeisler?

Jeff Ma?

Hmmm, is Dr. Phil the psychologist who's on retainer, as well?

He has his own show now. I really hope the Blazers don't need his advice though....

Yeah, I think it woud be a bit counter-productive in light of this context. :trampoline:

Roy has a new baby, so he can do the 2 AM feeding and let his companion sleep!

Great read. Every once in awhile Qicker comes though big.

I wounder how it worked for the Toronto game? I missed that in the article. It mentions the game, but if the players stayed up until 2am Toronto time, 8 hours of sleep is 10am......That's cutting it close.

He's good for these little behind the scenes factotums, but his overall grasp of basketball just really leaves me unimpressed on most days.

IMO, He came across as a goober during his pre-game interview with NBATV last Saturday night.

Quick is honestly one of the most arrogant beat writers I've ever met. He and Canzano. They walk around the Rose Garden like they own the place. There was a time when I seriously wondered why the Blazers didn't just pull their credentials.

Lets hope that ROY and LA are back to form against the 76'rs with the one day rest. Maybe they need time to adjust to the DOC.
