Blazers and Wizards scrimmaging right now

If it was Barrett or Rice you'd have a point, Holdahl seems like a pretty even handed guy who isn't afraid to say what he really thinks (at least from the trailblazers.com podcast he does with Dave from Blazersedge). But you're right, take it all with a grain of salt.

Ugh. Babbit. Can you just imagine the abuse he's going to get from Batum in practice, not only because Babbitt is a french idiom for cock, but he's going to torch the hell out of him on offense and lock him up like criminal on defense. If nothing else maybe Babbitt will actually get better in time, but I don't have high hopes that guy at all.

You mean you don't believe Bleacher Report?
I see Babbitt having great success with the Blazers. He will split time at small forward with Nicholas Batum. Babbitt could leapfrog Batum for the starting spot if he impresses in the NBA Summer League.

Nikolokolus apparently had a different French teacher than I had.

It's from Nic's (Batum's, I mean) blog:
By the way Portland got 2 guards and got Babbitt. He plans to give him the french translation of his name [in french Babbitt sounds like "low cock" or like "my cock"] It's a shameful name but he has to tell him. He remembers he had a lot of fun with Alexis Ajinça [who was drafted the same year as him] about Hasheem Thabeet's name [Thabeet means"your cock" in french]. It's in the same vein of the wordplay contests he had with Ali Traoré last year [in the France team]. Alexis and him were asking him " You assume Thabeet ? ". They didn't explain the joke to him but he's translated it to O.J. Mayo so he must have told him. So the next time they play each other Thabeet will block him 15 times when Batum goes in the paint against him. You're going to see it in the stats for Memphis-Portland : Hasheem Thabeet 8 blocks, Batum 8 blocks against…

Mills has something Armon will never have. Blazing fast speed. In order for him to be effective, you have to team him with guys that can run the court as or nearly as fast as he can to take advantage of his strengths. Good luck on there being a bunch of those guys on your summer league roster.

Armon has things Mills will never have. Size. A defensive mindset. Toughness. Armon is much better suited for this team than Mills.

Yeah, I don't see how Mills beats out Johnson for the last spot....unless Allen's affinity for him becomes the trump card, which is possible....

Johnson is really looking like a sleeper to me....I have been impressed by what I have seen....

If Mills were a transcendent player or a phenomenal playmaker (like Chris Paul) then I'd have no problem with his stature and defensive liabilities, but I'm not even convinced he's really a point guard, which makes him potentially a 6' shooting guard. I'd rather let him go to some other team that needs his particular talents instead of trying to shoe-horn him into the Blazers rotation, where his talents are unlikely to maximized.

The same way he beat out Ime last year.

Fixed.
