It would be great if the Blazers broadcast the games outside of Portland again.

The are back to using a local station again. 10KW where as KEX beams the signal up and down the coast using a 50KW flame throwing transmitter. Nice to see them broadcast the preseason games though, wish I could get it. I will try 620 again tonight on the Kenwood and the Icom, using the MarAzul mast shrouds as the antenna. Kind a doubtful though since 630 is a local station in the same direction and the most powerful on the south coast.

Dang! 1190 worked pretty good many nights. 750 KXL works all over the State. Funny, the Blazers tell me it doesn't! Never did understand why they would insist that was true, several years there I listened to the Blazer games on KXL at both the ranch in NE Oregon and here on the South coast. I don't think it worked for me just because I have an FCC license.

Danged if I know. There are several web info sites that indicate that they are simulcasting but I don't know if those are actually current.
No help in those for me for sure.

Yeah! I can get 620 AM on the Kenwood 570 now that the boat is in the water and the rigging is up to use as an antenna. No way to get the station on a standard radio, 630 come in poorly instead.
No way on the ICOM PCR1000 either which surprises me, it isn't much better than the standard radio in differentiating 620 from 630. First rate on the Kenwood though.
Amazing huh? I need $2000 dollar radio and 50 grand worth of rigging to get the Blazer games and some of these jokers say I am not a fan!

What kind of satellite internet can you get for the boat?

Yes, you can get it. The equipment is pretty spendy though since you need a tracking system to keep the antenna tracking the satellite. The nastier the sea the more it has to work up to the point the sea spray is so heavy it blocks out the signal anyway. Too much complication for me and it costs way to much to use it. It's bucks per minute of connection time.
