Blazers @ Celtics + 03/09/2012 = Game Thread!

Babbitt, our 2nd best player!

If that doesn't make you long for the sweet embrace of oblivion, nothing will.

Well thank God the team gets to preserve their "great second half team" label. That Nate sure does know how to make some adjustments ... mostly it seems to revolve around letting the other team get so far ahead that they no longer care about trying.

This is the most fun Babbitt has had in his NBA career. He must have a great +/-

I was born a Blazer fan and will always be a Blazer fan. I will continue to watch every game (just as I did when during the dark years). But, on top of it all, I'm a fan of basketball in general. I enjoy watching pretty basketball. The Blazers will always be the apple of my eye and all that jazzy stuff.

I'm actually watching the Big East games right now. They're more entertaining. If that means anything to you.

Cool, good to know. No green font. Anyone out in the Big East I should watch for during the tourny? Someone we have a need for and a shot at?

Sit Wallace's ass down for a game and start Babbitt. Wallace doesn't even appear to be trying in road games. At least you know that Luke is going to give effort.

Nate should start Nolan Smith, Elliott Williams, and Babbitt and sit Felton, Batum, and Wallace for a game. You might lose by 30, but at least you'll get some effort.

A couple UCONN guys; Drummond and Lamb are probably the best in conference. Fab Melo and Kris Joseph of Syracuse are late 1st guys. Not a ton of NBA talent in the Big East this year.

We outscored the Celtics by 25 down the stretch. Our team plays with a lot of pride and I think Babbitt should get rotation minutes tomorrow.

Strangely enough I found this a fun game to watch.

Maybe that's because I stopped caring within the first two minutes.

I agree. He played hard and is trying to prove to Nate he deserves some time.

One thing you can say about Nate, if something's not working, he'll stick with it until it doesn't.

+17 in the second half. Nate needs to start coaching better in the first half so his great second-half coaching can actually impact the W/L of the game.

Nah, fuck wins and losses. Its all about the 2nd half point differential. When Nates applying for coaching jobs next year he can hang his hat on that.

I think the Big East is extremely overrated, and if they get 10 teams in, as Lunardi projects, I won't be surprised if most are done after the first weekend.

Last year, even though UCONN won the title, only one other team made it to the Sweet Sixteen, and we could see the same this year. That was out of 11 bids.

I think Notre Dame is probably playing the best of any team in the Big East right now, but I'll be surprised if they make it out of the Sweet Sixteen.

In the race for the 10th pick, we are 1/2 a game behind the Suns and 2 games behind the Warriors. If only they hadn't waited for so late in the season to make their move!

Nate's not going to have to 'apply' for coaching jobs, even if he's fired.

Are you rooting for the T-Wolves over the Lakers?

Cincinnati's playing real good right now, too. I agree about Notre Dame, they play a bruising style that usually does well in tournament play. Jack Cooley is a Harangody clone.

I never root for the Lakers. Are you rooting for them?

Dude, you know the code: if you're a Blazer fan, your second favorite team is however is playing the Lakers!
