I probably should've just named this thread Harrison barnes THA missing link

He's been an MVP candidate for 2years out of college and is a transformational player.
Nba coaches would disagree with you on that one. Proof in that is the all star game. Then why are the pelicans the 12th seed?
Lillard is more of an MVP candidate than Davis.

Majority of nba coaches are retards. Proof in that is the all star game.

If the Blazers were the 12th seed, would your opinion of Dame change? Davis isn't responsible for that dumpster fire, he is the victim of it.
Warriors won title with 2 stars. We have Dame and CJ. We also have a bunch of young players who can grow into stars. I disagree that we need to find another star to throw in the mix. There's only one basketball. If you want to get very far into the playoffs you do.
He hasn't transformed shit. His team could play just as awfully without him. He's been an MVP candidate for 2years out of college and is a transformational player.
I searched in vain for a thumbs down smiley... basically couldn't disagree more. Add Draymond or Davis or Drummond to this team & I would be soooooooo over the top happy I wouldn't shut up about it for weeks. I'd probably force everyone that comes into contact with me to endure my happiness and talk Blazer hoops as they'd be in the mix for the title again... & I live in the Bay Area btw.Only players that can win a game by themselves are stars in this day and age. Guys that create their own shot. That ain't Draymond. Look at guys like Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond. Both great players but their teams are average at best and they need help around them. Those are role players to me.

Reading more of this thread, we need to abandon the use of star and role player and superstar, etc etc. What you need to win a championship is a good TEAM made of good players.
Would you be happy if one of those players came here and we sucked? It happens.I searched in vain for a thumbs down smiley... basically couldn't disagree more. Damian, MJ, Duncan, every player is a role player. No player can win a basketball game by themselves in this or any day and age...
STOMP
I think Barnes probably benefits a lot from the talent around him, in terms of the open shots he gets. I'd rather pay Crabbe than Barnes.
Star mightve been the wrong word to use. Ball handling go to scorer. To me they are the most valuable players in the NBA today.
Meaning I wouldn't trade CJ McCollum for Andre Drummond.

Lakers had 4 "stars" in Nash, Howard, Kobe, and Gasol and they were awful. Let's just focus on putting together a good team as opposed to searching for a name guy to take shots away from CJ and Dame. We have lots of great young guys who are improving. I don't think we need to make too many roster changes for this team to get better naturally.
If we added Draymond or Davis, there's no chance it would make us worseWould you be happy if one of those players came here and we sucked? It happens.
HAHAhahah...ha...ha...lolha...Davis is garbage..Id rather have Barnes
