Been listening to the Bill Simmons / Adam Silver interview from the Sloan conference -

Around the 50:20 mark - Silver points that there are 28 NBA teams with direct relation to a G league team and then he adds "it will be 30 soon".

Take it for what it's worth - but that would be interesting to see if this happens.

That would be great. I hope it works out. Those young guys need a workout.

Not sure what happened with the Idaho Stampede deal, but it broke up quickly. It would be nice to maybe look at Clark County as a location or maybe Bend.

It'll either be Vancouver or Salem. Perhaps Eugene.

Eugene....we have the arena already for a G league team

Is that the interview where Silver retells an old Isiah Thomas quote that championships are won on the bus? That players today are too involved with social media instead of talking and bonding with teammates? I heard part of that on the radio yesterday.

The bus ride from Portland to Eugene is the perfect amount of time for a couple of players to talk about why they are going to the G league!

Keep Blazer G league jobs in Oregon! Eugene is the second largest city in the state with the largest university...Nike built them an arena...they have no trouble filling seats for sports in Eugene....plus I'll buy season tickets if they do!

Largest U, yes....2nd largest city, no...that's Salem....by about 900 people at last count:

Salem's metro area has a higher population too. The other side of that is that Salem is boring as hell and the traffic sucks. I know, I live here. I also lived in Eugene for 13 years (Duck alum). I would have much preferred to live in Eugene, but work circumstances landed us in Salem.

And here I thought the NBA's small market teams were already G league teams for the NBA's big market teams.

Clearly the team should be located in Corvallis, to take advantage of both the Salem and Eugene metro areas.

You have my condolences.

In terms of disposal income and putting butts in seats, it's gotta be Eugene/Springfield over Salem.
