Hopefully Portland can 'reassign' Billups to coach the G-League team & hire Nurse for the Varsity team....
I know you're talking about Chauncey but I'm cool if it's his lil bro.

reading the op, it seems like nurk is getting the max contract extension

I thought he already did ?
3yr/55m for a regressing Center with bad legs is a road block, not a bargaining chip.

Maybe a different team will want to tank next year?

Lemme guess. They'll put this in Bend, right after i moved away. Figures
There is not really a venue over here for them to play in, unless they use the fairgrounds in Redmond, and not sure that is ideal. I know back in the day the Blazers played a few preseason games there, but was not a great venue for basketball.

I was thinking the fairgrounds as a possibility.

Honestly, they should just play at the MC. Easy access to the aiport and the PF. Could lead to better relation with varsity.

If it's a Gleague team, I wonder where they'd play.

@ Matthew Knight Arena? Could be a hint about new ownership

It’s the renewal for the arena. I don’t know why these guys can’t tell you

I've always thought glazeduck was Casey Holdahl...I know he went to school at the U of O

So it's the GLeague team. I wonder where they'll play, makes sense in Portland so guys can do normal practice and development with the whole team then get a few game reps if they need PT.

Maybe Blazers can add to last year's summer league championship with a Gleague championship.

We can have two huge parades.

I wish a lot more would move away instead of moving here! Been here 40 years and it ain't what it used to be unfortunately
I dunno why so many people are. I went there for a job, but I was one of the few. The scope for professionals is minimal.

We couldnt last living there for more than a yr and half. Like i loved the scenery and outdoors but it's as expensive as most tier two cities without even half the resources/amenities. And lack of diversity was a big deal to me. But the last straw was being in the safeway during the shooting. Left at the first chance I got.
