It was a silly twit tweet. Not worth caring about.
Yet ESPN did care enough.

i'd bet that doesn't happen
I'm REALLY surprised it made it to the front page of ESPN though.... seems like such a non-story.

How long have they been beating Tebow's dead corpse?
I hadn't really heard much about Tebow this season.
It's not like there is some tangible entity that is going to be offended. Is the "eastern conference" going to be mad at us now? Did the twitter hurt it's feelings? Is the 'eastern conference' a thing?
It was an extremely lame, predictable, and unfunny joke. Which is why I suspect Holdahl.
I believe they were just saying yesterday that he was the most searched for athlete of the year, only media outlet i noticed saying that.

Nope.Damn, why all the Holdahl hate? He's a really nice guy and pretty damn funny. You ever meet him in person?

Professional Hypersensitivity is quite a lucrative profession...I think if the Blazers are willing to have this board and all of the weird shit said on it linked to their official webpage, they're not going to care about a tiny little joke on twitter. Just my opinion. People are so sensitive to tiny jokes that hurt nobody. This is why we can't have nice things.

I think it was totally harmless, but this is the age of internet and people love to get worked up over nothing. You know the next time we play a team from the east, this crap will come up, and if we lose they will say it's because we bashed the eastern conference.

That is hilarious, especially the Suns response. And it's pretty clear to me the ESPN folks think it's amusing (including a video of their own analysts talking about how bad the east is).
The Blazers aren't being cocky, quite the opposite - they're saying in the western conference they're still not 100% they'll make the play offs but if they were in the eastern conference they'd have already almost clinched home court advantage.
People taking offense seriously need to chill.![]()

Pretty much how I see it. Its funny as hell and if the east teams want to get all upset over it maybe they can start having playoff teams without losing records more then once a decade.

If those teams have problems, then maybe they should take pride in winning... Their pathetic tank jobs are laughable
The easts been a joke for years after the top few teams. They constantly have one or two teams under .500 who make the playoffs.

Pretty sure Casey doesn't tweet on that account. I know my former Season Ticket Rep was one of several people who provided content for @Trailblazers. I'm pretty sure @CHoldahl is the only twitter account that Casey uses...Stupid tweet by Casey considering it was from the official account. Nothing to write an article over though
